It was previously reported that DC Animation's next film following Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is titled Justice League: War. No other details were known, other than an assumed 2014 release. Now, "Super PR Guy" Gary Miereanu has confirmed this via Twitter, ahead of the official San Diego Comic-Con announcement later this week. The film is based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's first Justice League story arc in "The New 52", which focuses on the origins of the superhero team. It makes sense to release this right after a Flashpoint adaptation, as that story arc led to the beginning of the new continuity. Additionally, Miereanu revealed that Jason O'Mara (Terra Nova) is voicing Batman in the animated feature. No further casting or other details have been confirmed, but stay tuned to CBM for an official announcement this week straight out of Comic-Con.

UPDATE: Via World's Finest Online, we have more details for Justice League: War. Jay Oliva is directing, and other JL members have been cast. Michelle Monaghan (Source Code) is voicing Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty) is The Flash, Alan Tudyk (Firefly) will portray Superman, Justin Kirk (Angles In America) is Green Lantern, and Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) will voice Cyborg.

GoILL - 7/16/2013, 9:27 AM
No Conroy again? Some folks are gonna be upset.
0bstreperous - 7/16/2013, 9:36 AM
woah...

Apparently this guys Brother is Mark O'Mara the defense attorney for George Zimmerman!!???

If true, this is in poor taste.
MightyZeus - 7/16/2013, 9:38 AM
I knew this was coming. This makes me happy.
a204801 - 7/16/2013, 9:38 AM
Ug. They keep trying new voices for Batman. They all suck for the most part. Peter Weller was good as older Batman, but the rest blow. Why cant they just use Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, Michael Rosenbaum, Susan Eisenberg, Phil Lamarr and so on? Stick to the same voices for the same characters. They can use new actors for new characters. Its great talent they are hiring, but they just dont fit the bill when you already have the best it could be.
Lizardking310 - 7/16/2013, 9:40 AM
Cyborg sucks! JL needs Martian Manhunter !
ekrolo2 - 7/16/2013, 9:42 AM
Oh god, here comes the CONROY IS THE BEST BATMAN idiots who are gonna bitch and complain about him not voice acting the character in this new movie. He is singlehandedly the most overused voice actor in animation period and his performances have in my opinion just gone down hill. Its blatantly obvious to me hes just doing this character over and over because thats all everyone associates him with and its his only source of income. Hes overused and him not coming back is a only a positive from here on out as far as Im concerned.
whoa123 - 7/16/2013, 9:43 AM
I misread and thought it was for a live-action. But still this sounds awesome!
GoILL - 7/16/2013, 9:44 AM
@0bstreperous

Where did you get the information that they were related from?
CharlesLord - 7/16/2013, 9:47 AM
i know alan tudyk from suburgatory rather than firefly hahahaha
DrRockso - 7/16/2013, 9:49 AM
I just hope they don't give superman a goddamed turtleneck. Alan Tudyk though, that's really cool.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/16/2013, 9:50 AM
Really looking forward to this.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/16/2013, 9:50 AM
Gonna be cool to see an animated version of Lee's art
0bstreperous - 7/16/2013, 9:53 AM
@ monkey balls @levitcuz

The guy makes a joking or passing remark on his twitter account about the trial

I find that in poor taste

and my comment's not off just an immediate reaction to what looks like insensitivity to a high profile case like this

polarkyle - 7/16/2013, 9:54 AM
I've always said the justice league movie should take inspiration from Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's series
0bstreperous - 7/16/2013, 9:55 AM
im not gonna get into this i just saw the guy's ( jason O'mara's) twitter

im not sure if he's making a joke or not

but either way i thought it was insensitive

CONROY for the WIN!!
pud333 - 7/16/2013, 9:55 AM
When I first read the heading I thought it was a live action movie. Eh. Not as cool but I am still looking forward to this.
ekrolo2 - 7/16/2013, 9:56 AM
@0bstreperous

Its insensitive to hire the guy of the attorney of a criminal in a high profile case, even though the guy has NO relation to the actual case except the fact that his the brother of a guy involved in it. You're basically condemning a guy getting hired for a job because hes related to a guy defending a criminal during a case, how is that right again?
MrReese - 7/16/2013, 9:56 AM
DC animated films r always good.Definitely checking it out.Gonna watch Flashpoint Paradox in a bit.Any 1 seeing it already?
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/16/2013, 9:57 AM
I find it funny how people say everyone sucks besides Conroy. They don't suck, you just automatically believe they suck because you are blindly obsessed with Conroy.
TheAbaryMan369 - 7/16/2013, 9:59 AM
More Live-Action movies. Less animated movies.
GoILL - 7/16/2013, 9:59 AM
@monkeyballs

I figured as such. I went and looked up these guys info myself and got the same results that you posted.
0bstreperous - 7/16/2013, 10:04 AM

whoa123 - 7/16/2013, 10:05 AM
Alan Tudyk as Superman? I wonder how that will turn out.
superherofan21 - 7/16/2013, 10:06 AM
I saw the title of this article and immediately thought an announcement was made for a live-action JL movie. Then I clicked the article...
Yeah, I sorta figured it'd be too good to be true.
GIFfreyGinsberg - 7/16/2013, 10:07 AM
I had teacher in middle school with the last name of O'Mara.., weird coincidence.
thedude2936 - 7/16/2013, 10:11 AM

SnapperCarr - 7/16/2013, 10:14 AM
I want Martian Manhunter! I want the original Big 7 united again!
ComicFan1134 - 7/16/2013, 10:14 AM
It Would Be Nice For Vocal Continuity When It Comes To These Characters.....
Wingding - 7/16/2013, 10:17 AM
YES. This is going to be amazing. I''m loving the New 52 Justice League. Tudyk as Supes? That's an interesting choice. What would've been even crazier, though, is if Nathan Fillion was voicing GL.
Jhuntdaprodigy - 7/16/2013, 10:20 AM
Cool to see they're doing New 52 films now. "Night Of The Owls" and "Death Of The Family" adaptations are musts. There are still some classic stories I'd like to see them tell though. Another Wonder Woman film, and a Flash film would be welcome as well.
Bread - 7/16/2013, 10:22 AM
WHY NO CONROY????
thenerdicon4 - 7/16/2013, 10:22 AM
[frick] YES! I can't wait! :) I saw Flashpoint Paradox earlier today and it was awesome. Really great movie.
DCfan89 - 7/16/2013, 10:22 AM
i feel like they're cramming cyborg down our throats. hopefully not trying to prepare us for an onscreen justice league including cyborg...... i pray that's not the case... New 52 is garbage. i say we keep the costume changes, most of them anyway and go back to the REAL origins
ekrolo2 - 7/16/2013, 10:24 AM
@Bread

Cause hes overrated, overused and hes just doing it for a pay check now because no one will hire him for any other role?
DamienA - 7/16/2013, 10:24 AM
What a shame DC are looking to the New 52 for their animated movies. Stick to the old DCU you morons.
thenerdicon4 - 7/16/2013, 10:24 AM
AWESOME! I hope they do an Aquaman feature.
TankD - 7/16/2013, 10:26 AM
Freaky I just finished watching JL flash point not even less than 2min ago..
