But first the RULES:
You can base your vote on any version of the character (but preferably on the main continuity or live adaptation). For those not familiar with the character I have provided a short feature for each character, you can find it below the character's profile picture (click it and it will bring you to a different page consisting a short bio of the character and a list of his powers and abilities). This is not a popularity contest, so please decide logically, you can defend your vote in the comment section, and you can even include descriptive detail on how one character can take down the other.

Consider each fight as the first meeting of the two characters (even if they exist in the same universe, try to treat this fight as their first encounter, which means there are no prior knowledge of the other's power set and abilities, as well as knowing their strengths and weaknesses).

The fights are not planned, so there are no time for preparation for the characters. But the characters are well stacked with their regular equipments, weapons, and other stuffs that are closely associated to the character.

Put in mind as well the character's personality and how the character will act on the given situation (will he fight dirty, will he be honorable, etc…). The characters can use anything in their surrounding as an advantage.

Cap and Widow for sure. For the third poll, I like Iron Man more but Green Lantern probably has a better chance at winning a hand-to-hand fight.

Umm.... Ok? All of these fights are ridiculously imbalanced in favor of DC. Doomsday vs. Thing? Batman vs. Punisher? You might was well pit Superman against Daredevil and call it a fair fight.

how the hell Widow can beat Black Canary. Black Canary can make Black Widow eardrum bleed like a mofo she would die.

Green Lantern would beat Iron Man cause all the different Constructs he can create from his ring.

-The fighting skills and experience of Captain America would beat Buster Gold.
-Black Canary and Black widow would be pretty evenly watched on their hand-to-hand combat skill, but the Canary Cry would have to be the deciding factor.
-Without proper preparation for a device in the armor to counteract they power of the green lantern ring, I think the Green Lantern would win this one.

Scenarios are unplanned, therefore, no yellow armor for Stark. Besides that's not even a legitimate weakness anymore. I'm sick of people being dumb about these polls and favoring their favorite company. "should have been surfer vs gl: surfer wins!!! Omglollol!" Of course Surfer would win, tool. Don't like the polls? Don't vote or make your own marvel favored bouts.

yes in the comics,but in the new movie i'm sure yellow will be a weakness.

so when sinestro turns evil for the sequel,yellow will come across as more of a threat.

Captain America, Black Canary, and Green Lantern would win the fights, IMO. Black Widow might would win if it was just hand to hand combat, though.

I don't think Iron Man would ever have a real good chance of beating Green Lantern, though.

This isn't how I voted (voted Black Widow just cause of the Scar Jo pic) but I'd hafta go with Cap, Black Canary, Green Lantern FTW. Kinda over the whole Marvel vs DC since both companies have their positves and negatives. Hell, I play Playstaion & X-box, drink Coke & Pepsi, watch Star Wars & Star Trek, & like Blondes & Brunettes. Variety is the spice of life, it's all good baby!!! Gonna reserve my fevered, crazed loyalty for my sports! Sure is eff-in entertainin readin how some of ya go at it, though.

Booster- Flight, force field, energy weapons- he could take Cap out from a distance.
Black Canary- They are equal fighters, but the tie will go tot he meta human every time.
Tie- GL is way more powerful, but Stark's resourcefulness would be a wildcard, it could go too many different ways.

C'mon folks, its just for fun, stop bludgeoning the Pollmaster.

Cap wins, as if there was any doubt there.
Black Widow wins, as Canary has nowhere near the level of combat expertise and experience taking down supers as Widow. However, I'm sure this match up would be the most debated.
Green Lantern wins(no contest). Stark may be smart, but he needs to be able to conceive something, which takes time. A random chance encounter and GL would have him by the Iron nuts.

The problem with Marvel versus DC polls is that very few fanboys of either one know enough about the other to make an educated argument. Green Lantern is not vulnerable to yellow, and no way can it be argued that Black Widow is a BETTER fighter than Black Canary are the two most obvious examples.

Barbara Gordon(Oracle/Batgirl) said that Dinah was one of the best fighters in the world(DC) and could likely beat Batman. At the best Black Widow can only be as good as Black Canary.

lol, just goes to show that you yourself are a victim of your first comment Harrison. Canary has only become as lethal in hand-to-hand as she currently is in the past few years when she traded experiences with Lady Shiva during Infinite Crisis, and she didn't even finish the training. Before then she had trouble shutting down basic drug lords and such on her own. Meanwhile, Widow has time and again proven that you don't have to be powered to bring down powered people, as she has tangled with and won against some of Marvels toughest, including Cap, who would make a mudhole out of Canary. I'll admit it'd be a close match, but I still see it in favor of the Widow.

Tony Stark has no chance against Green Lantern. Tony might be smart but going againt someone who uses a cosmic power really we might aswell say Tony can beat Silver Surfer.

With prep Iron Man wins, without it well I give it to GL slightly.

The initial concept was that they fight based on not having prior knowledge of each other or their powers and abilities.
I could see Cap winning based on an overconfidence by Booster in his suit and weapons. Booster blasts Cap with double fisted fire which Cap blocks and slings his shield. Booster pops up a force field to deflect Cap's shield and follows up with a blast to stun Cap. Booster flashes a cocky smile only to have Caps shield rebound and hit him in the head. Cap pops up and cold cocks Booster on the jaw - knocking him out.
In the case of Canary and Widow - as has been stated, Canary is proficient in martial arts and prefers to fight rather than use her abilities on non meta-humans. I think there would be an interesting fight that goes back and forth until Canary decides to finally use her ability to end the it.
In the case of Iron Man and Green Lantern, this would be a high flying, fast shooting encounter, but Tony relies on his tech too much, lacking the fight experience of Hal. Given advanced prep, I could see Tony winning, but the ability to create willed constructs would give Hal the edge and end up with Tony falling in a depowered suit of armor.
