Spoilers! Unused Concept Art For PROMETHEUS Hits The Web

After the jump, check out some concept art revealing unused ideas for Ridley Scott's latest film Prometheus, which can be seen in theaters now. Warning, there are SPOILERS ahead...

Ridley Scott's Prometheus chronicles the previous events that occurred before Alien. While not a direct prequel, it does serve to answer a few questions that remained a mystery in the original film. The film has been met with generally positive reviews, and can be seen in theaters now. Now, some images have surfaced online that were featured in the upcoming book, Prometheus: The Art of the Film. They seem to be a few unused concepts that were created to generate some ideas for the film. However, even though they were directly disregarded, some ideas behind them were used in the film, and contain SPOILERS. Check them out:

Prometheus Stars Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Logan-Marshall green, Idris Elba, Guy Pierce, and is directed by Ridley Scott(Alien, Blade Runner). The film is now in theaters.

Never fear, excluding one or two things its all a beautiful look at what could have been. I mean the 'things' in the film were pretty good, mostly... but when I see these I can't help but feel it could have been more bat-shit insane.

I'm going to Prometheus this weekend, not expecting too much but I think it deserves the big screen treatment.

I was waiting for the Holy Rollers to jump on this, but it's been pretty quiet. If it's a hit, I bet they'll come out more.

Humans can be made into Vampires and Zombies by fictional accounts and that's fine. Just don't make Humans out of fictional accounts.

When does this open up in America because it opened 1st June over here in the UK.

Im glad I didn't get hyped up for it, it's a good film but it was missing something and just left you with more questions then answers, bring on a sequel to clear up a lot of sh!t.

Also they could have done a whole lot more with Charlize Theron and Idris Elba characters they are pretty much wasted.

heavy- Do you want to see the biggest insult to God? Go to church. Watch a grown man stand in front of you and say they know the will of an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent being.

A man whose proof is a book thats milennia old that tells its readers to treat their slaves well, sell their sisters, murder people (in the several god mandated wars) and take their lands. A book that tells its readers to love their neighbor and not to judge them, yet its follows choose to do the opposite. Now that is an insult to God.

people were excited jumping into there seats rushing in then afterwards everyone just got up slowly as if they had all being slapped in the face what just happend in that 2hrs well nothing dont believe the hype and old reputations save yer money on this one.

@heavykilluminati This is not the forum to be expressing a belief system. It's for ENTERTAINMENT. God (provided that's what you believe in) gave us FREE WILL. Let us use it, damn the consequences. The search for 'truth' begins by asking questions, not by believing blindly, both in regards to philosophy and science.

P.S. Considering how big the universe is, isn't it kind of a waist of time and space if we're the only ones he created?

@ heavykilluminati - You have every right to believe what you want but you don't have the right to force that on others by telling them what to do. If there is a God (and that's a big 'if') I believe he would enjoy seeing our creativity. Do you have children for the sole purpose of them worshiping you? Or do you have children in order to see them grow into their own person? I personal belief is that if God is real, he'd be pretty pissed off with the idea of religion and all these people worshiping him and living their lives for him and even killing in his name.

This is a movie, NOT a false idol or religion.

turns out the engineers were making a military bio weapon base and everything got loose....totally not what i thought the movie was about...it was meh....supposedly they made us buy some alien engineer drinking some stuff that dissolved his body and he fell in the ocean...wtf was that about...and the human scientist has the baby face hugger that turns into a giant one lololol

@Goomba the Universe is another term for God, if you honestly are that dumb that you think of the space/time continuum is as simple as the atheist trope of a man in the sky, then how do you know how to switch on a computer.

With the exception of the final alien design in the last two minutes (the blue one up there) I absolutely loved that the movie wasn't dumbed down for audiences. I only wish that instead of the way they ended it, I wish the engineer would've got up, climbed into a new ship, tried chasing them down, only the lose control an crash the ship. They wouldn't have needed to show him crash, but the could've showed him strapped in and his just burst and then CREDITS. That would've been the perfect bridge I "ALIEN."
Otherwise a VERY solid 8.5.
I gave Avengers an 8.5 too because of the unimpressive final impression. Oh yeah, how about that post credits?
Makes sense why the free ticket comes with the BluRay. The BluRay release date is the same date as the post credits.

Was there an after credits scene? I still don't get how the squid was made from an infected human, or how it inpreging the Jockey would create a Xeno.....None look anything alike. Made no sense but we got our link to Alien with it.
