High-Res Screengrabs From The IRON MAN 3 Theatrical Trailer

Today Yahoo Movies released the theatrical trailer for the third Iron Man installment, helmed by Shane Black, and we've frozen the action for you guys with a whole bunch of screengrabs which you can see past the jump.

When an enemy disrupts that which industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man holds most dear, he must rely on his ingenuity to protect those closest to him. Along the way, he discovers the answer to a question which has haunted him: does the suit define him, or does he define the suit?









































































Iron Man 3 is scheduled to hit cinemas May 3rd, 2013. It's helmed by Shane Black, and includes an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, and Sir Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin.

Thanks bro! I've been wanting these. Looks great. I'm almost thinking on the big Iron Men shot, that the big red one on the right is a sort of Hulkbuster as well. While the hunched over one seems to be one too, I think they are kind of an in between Hulkbusters (stuff he's experimenting with) to finally reveal a new Hulkbuster for Avengers 2... perhaps. Really hoping for an Iron Man/Hulk fight in Avengers 2.

I think @johnblake is talking about the second armor to the right. It's a huge armor that resembles the Hulkbuster.

The pic with the kid looks like the scene that was described a while back where Tony meets a kid. Looks like that part will serve as an awakening for Tony.

So the necklace he gives Pepper is a locator device for the RESCUE suit, like Tony's bracelets in the Avengers. I'm guessing this somehow saves her life at some point.

So that red-head women from the first trailer, Stephanie Szostak, whom was believed to be Wasp, seems to be at Killian's AIM facility ready for an Extremis injection. Now, remember that she pushed a shocked Tony Stark into a wall in the first trailer. In other words, I don't believe we have our Wasp here... just a Female Extremis Soldier.

Apart from the Avengers, I've been far from impressed by the MCU films since '08. This however looks just as good as the first Iron Man and hopefully lives up to the trailer. Even though I'm almost certain that it won't be the best CBM of the year (that title will likely go to MOS) it does look like a lot of fun.

That's the hydro armor, why would the armor needs claws to fight the Hulk? Also it's smaller than the emerald giant.

Thanks for this! I was trying to get a still of that shot of Pepper. She is pissed! I so, so hope she gets to be Rescue in this movie!!

Not to take anything away, cause I am seriously dorking out, but is anyone else slightly bothered by the fact that Aldrich Killean killed himself in like the first 3 pages of Extremis? I mean, I don't really care much, but still...

My theories on the armours from right to left.
S.K.I.N. armour, because it seems more versatile in its movements.
Deep sea diving suit. Its clunky and the mandibles are a pretty sure sign.
Stealth armour. Its black... But im probably wrong.
Heartbreaker armour.
Deep space suit.
Silver Centurion.
H.A.P.P.y. suit? Im grabbin at a straw there.
Finally the Hulkbuster, but its clearly unfinished, notice the ted and whit banding on the forearm, plus it grey inxicating it isnt painted.

I put some of the screen grabs in chronological order. After doing so, I think Pepper is the one leading all of the suits at the end of the trailer.

Tony is out of his suit when he jumps onto the silver suit to escape the explosion, which is after the army of suits arrive.

Why do people keep saying "Hulkbuster"? Is there any Hulk to bust in this movie? Sure, it might be inspired by the Hulk, but the Hulkbuster can be saved for another day. I'm sticking with the rumored name: "Heavy Duty Armor".

Completely Redeemed the CRAP-tastic Iron Man 2 and the jokey Avengers Tony. I've never been a Tony Stark fan (a bit too douchey in the comics, just like Green Arrow) but Shane Black's genius will completely transform him into the ultimate Hero.

Too bad nobody will know that there's a new team and crew behind the movie different from the last 2 and we'll get the same old "MARVEL iz da besst LoLz" comments.

i get like weepy eyed seeing all those armors flying up. but tell me this movie doesnt have a showdown at the LA docks. A-team, the Losers, now this. im sure theres tons more. f' the docks, spend the $$$ and mess a city up.
