11 minutes of film are recovered for the DVD...
Wondering which deleted scenes will be included in the upcoming DVD & Blu-Ray release? Well, ponder no further, as the BBFC has revealed the titles and length of each of the 8 scenes.

00:01:16:03 GOKU MEETS BULMA (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:31:14 GOKU SEES HIS BIRTHDAY CAKE (DELETED SCENE)
00:01:55:14 EXTENDED MONTAGE TO STONE TEMPLE/STONE TEMPLE SNACK BAR (DELETED SCENE)
00:01:42:11 EXTENDED FULUMS (DELETED SCENE)
00:02:00:03 EXTENDED SIFU NORRIS/ROSHI (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:49:22 MAI DIES BY STABBING (DELETED SCENE)

That’s under 11 minutes of additional footage. But one has to wonder why they weren’t just included in the actual movie, it’s not as if it’s 3 hours.

I downloaded this a week or so ago, and I gotta say, it wasn't as terrible as you guys all made it out to be!

They did take A LOT of liberties, but I think the next one could be much better. But then again, I love cheesy films =)


I might have to go Terminator in the theater now, my lil brother and you guys put me off seeing it in the theaters......now i'm beginning to regret waiting to see it.

good lord. i'm glad i never wanted and never will see this crap. i like how this dude on the cover is clutching his glowing ball and screaming in pain while it appears he's sticking some wooden shaft out from under his clothing.

why would anybody watch this sh!t?

I agree with the main statement as to why they didn't just put those clips in the film? The film was way to short anyway but its not like those clips would really save the movie anyway. And I hate how they call it the Z edition as if that's going to make me want to buy it.

No way would they try to do another one...it was such a failure on so many levels. I'm betting it's made some producers wary of greenlighting projects based on animes. This movie was a huge misstep.

I don't even think another 2 hrs. would help. They are looking for reasons to try to help dvd sales. It would be a joke to make another... Then again, it is Fox. It wsa 8th place when it came out. Not really a good placing.

Actually pretty funny, my brother and I were talking cartoons to movies and he was like, "At least they never made a Dragonball movie." I couldn't stop laughing, "Yeah, they did, like a few months ago actually."

this movie was depressing compared to the Anime, but i think if they do a sequel they might be able to redeem it.... but then again this FOX.

Most people who say the movie was not like the show have probably not seen Dragonball in a long time. It was a silly kids show that was the coolest when you're a little kid.
I recently went to an anime convention where Scott McNeal and Kyle Hebert laughed about the show wondering how it was so popular in a DBZ panel.
Some of us kind of liked the movie, and I can't wait for thye sequel!

We know Dragonball was a "silly" kids show but there was still more depth to it then the movie. Also watch the show then watch the movie. Goku is a completely different person in the movie, " Get the girl"??? That thought never crosses Goku's mind in the show. That's just one example.

The makers also have to realize the "kids" who watched the show and are fans are not "kids" anymore.
