Things They SHOULD do for The Avengers Movie

What they need to do in the Avengers Movie

I've seen and heard many things about "The Avengers" movie coming out in 2012. Here's what I think they should do. Note this is not a list, just what I think they should do

1.Nick Fury Leading Them I don't know about you, but I thought Samuel L, Jackson was a great choice for Nick Fury and should continue in "The Avengers." He should start off commanding the team and later have Cap take over before the final fight. This would work due to the fact that The Avengers are created before Cap, Thor, and Shellhead sign on.

2.No Antman And Wasp
I know a few people out there want the Wasp and Antman, but I don't see a purpose for them in the movie so far. They might make references to them in "Thor" or the "First Avenger," but they have never been referenced or even thought of in any of the movies so far. So adding them in would just make no sense.

3.No Skrulls

The Skrulls would need a lot more development to be accepted as the villains. It would be better to have Loki as the the main villain. Even though Thor could defeat him, Loki might have control over a source that needs all the Avengers to fight-- which brings me to my next item.

4.Hulk Controlled By Loki
The Hulk has shown that he can be controlled to a certain extent in "The Incredible Hulk" back in 2008. Since Loki could technically aim the jolly green giant to attack the Avenges. Then later have something happen for the Hulk to join them near the end for the final fight. I know that this couldn't be the reason that they form, but they could be together because Loki became more powerful so only Thor could defeat.

5.Easter Eggs

Marvel has made this a tradition in most of their new studio produced movies, and I say keep the tradition going. Have references to other Marvel movies; maybe a Skrull ship at the end for a sequel or Stark Tower being their headquarters. Just stick with that formula.

That's my thoughts on The Avengers. Thank You

I only agree with you on 4 and 5

Cap SHOULD Lead the Avengers NOT Fury !

Antman and Wasp were the original founders of the team they have a right to be in the film just as Hulk,Thor,Iron Man,and Cap.

Skrull's should definitely be in the film to broaden the Marvel Cinematic Universe and to potentially have more character's

if you mean like he sends them out on missions and gives them orders then i'm fine with that but if he's on the field with them , i'm not gonna be happy =/

to elaborate on what Inspace said, really, Antman and Wasp have MORE right to be in it than Cap himself. Why? because Cap wasn't one of the original Avengers.

CorndogBurglar - 7/22/2010, 8:55 PM
but SLJ DOES act like Fury. he acts like Ultimate Fury, which is clearly the version they're going for. lol. Just like Stark in the movies is WAY closer to Ultimate Stark than 616 Stark. you don't see Stark making constant wisecracks in the 616 comics. thats all Ultimates right there.

Hank and Jan NEED to be in the movie! The rest is good.

I could see the whole Nick Fury thing working if it happened like so:

Nick Fury leads the Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Cap, etc.) to track down the Hulk. While Fury has great tactical experience, he just can't control the team when he is constantly being overridden by Stark's arrogance. Naturally, Cap, being the soldier he is, takes Fury's orders without question, but has a knack for rallying the team and coordinating great offenses.

After seeing this (in just one battle), Fury retires as the team's field commander and instead gives out the mission, handing the leader role to Cap. Of course, even with Cap as the team's leader, Stark's arrogance comes into play and he fights with Cap for the leadership in a friendly rivalry fashion.

Yeah, it looks like they are setting up the Avengers as a SHIELD subsidiary. Maybe they are doing this just as a plot device to easily link the movies together. The Avengers should disassociate themselves from the government as quickly as possible.

Here's my short list of stuff I want in the movie.

1. An independant Avengers team. No Government involvement.

2. Quinjets

3. Jarvis, the real one. No robot.

4. Tony Stark donates his family mansion in Manhattan to become Avengers Mansion.

5.Hank and Jan as founding members. NOT SHIELD agents .

6. Rick Jones

ant-man and wasp must be in it. they are founding members.

I don't think that Loki should be the villian considering the fact that it would be rather stupid to have a villian from a previous Marvel film be the villian in this film which is about a team. They need to fight something that can be considered a villian for the team as a whole and not a primary villian of a character. Ant-Man and Wasp, I believe, need to be in this film to create foils for the other characters. I don't think that just having Scarlet Johannsen as the Black Widow provides enough female energy to the film and Whedon does love to have chicks in things so I'm expecting to see some a heavy dose of female presence.

@ niksyn

well they wouldn't just be fighting Loki, they would be fighting a Loki-controlled Hulk. I'd say thats a big enough threat for the team...

1 - fine with me as long as they have Cap in charge of the team by the end.

2 - nope, Pym and Van Dyne are founders, they are a must.

3 - fine with me, the villains don't have to be Skrulls.

4 - definitely! The big expectation of the action of this film will be Avengers vs Hulk. Specifically, I will be interested in Thor vs Hulk ("Stand thee back, I shall confront the beast" a la Hulk 300) If they do this better than the Ultimate Avengers cartoon, well, I'll need new pants.

5 - certainly. I'd like the end of the film see the Avengers break with Shield and go 'independent' of the government. It fits Stark's character perfectly, Cap might want a break from taking orders, and I can't see Thor giving a fig for any mortal government's orders. That could give us shots of: Avengers Mansion/Tower; Jarvis; quinjets; etc. For the Easter Egg, I'd like to see a tease of Avengers 2 with either: Kang; Ultron; or Skrulls.

I couldn't disagree more with no.2
torch1980 - 7/23/2010, 8:38 AM
I think the skrulls should be in it
niksyn4 - 7/23/2010, 9:59 AM
Having Loki in the film in anyway shape or form, I think would damage the film taking a way for the TEAM having an enemy of their own to fight. There are some possibilities of the Skrulls controlling the Hulk which I think would be more suitable over Loki. He just doesn't need to be in the film. Sorry. And as far as explaining Ant-Man and the Wasp, they could easily just have Fury approach Tony, Cap and Thor and say "These are your new team mates Ant-Man and Wasp". Audiences aren't stupid and they don't need much to introduce characters. The audience will get it and any details surrounding the characters can be explained as the film goes on through dialogue, plot details and things of that nature. Very simple.
