It seems that the score to the highly anticipated film, Man
Of Steel, is complete. Tom Holkenborg tweeted the news two days ago:

What do you think of the news? It's very exciting, I can't wait too hear this score. But hopefully we can get a snippet of it in the next trailer, which is possible.

[frick] TOM BRADY
mgeoff88 - 1/4/2013, 7:53 AM
I don't think it will rival John Williams' Superman theme, but I hope it comes really close.
Wingding - 1/4/2013, 8:17 AM
Didn't we already hear part of the score in the new MOS trailer? It was epic . . .
TheOneWhoKnocks - 1/4/2013, 8:18 AM
@mgeoff88, a lot of people think like you. They already makeup their minds that nobody can ever score better tune than John Williams' one. And that will cloud your judgement sometimes. We should be optimistic about the future ...shouldn't already judge what isn't even released yet.
SteveRogersSon - 1/4/2013, 8:28 AM

Tom Brady is awesome!

You've completely made yourself a joke.
SteveRogersSon - 1/4/2013, 8:29 AM
Amazingjr87...exactly lots of horns blaring and blatting about...yep that makes an amazing score. Zimmer is becoming part of that list of people that is becoming overrated because they're involved with EVERYTHING...
TheOneWhoKnocks - 1/4/2013, 8:48 AM
@Amazingjr87, if u hear all of john williams' score one after the other, u ll realize that his tunes r kinda similarly different too. EVERY music composer tends to have a composition style that seems familiar with his previous works.
@Steve, the term overrated is really overrated...it's all relative ;)
pud333 - 1/4/2013, 9:00 AM
I am hoping that Zimmer's score is as different as possible. While I love the original Donner film and the Williams score still makes the hairs on my arm stand up, that movie is from a bygone era. The problem with Superman is people still think of the original movie, thanks to Returns, when Superman is so different today, having evolved and been reinterpreted several times - Man of Steel, Birthright, Secret Origin, etc. It's 2013! Let's move on.
rbfn04 - 1/4/2013, 9:40 AM
Not gonna touch the original score. That's for sure. Superman's theme and the Imperial March are, problably, thwe best themes in movie history. never grow old and are perfect for the characters.

Good luck to Zimmer. He'll need it.

Steve, you hate Morrison, Brady and Zimmer, huh?

Just goes to show how little you know of talent by bashing one of the most celebrated writers in comics, one of the best composers in Hollywood and a 6 time AFC title appearing, 5 time Superbowl playing, 3 time superbowl winning, two time MVP winning Quarterback.

GTFOH, you hack.

WOW...that's a lot of googling you did to come up with something eh little kid. I never said I hated Zimmer, I'm just tired of hearing his stuff in every [frick]ing movie out here....SHOCKER!! he's not the end all be all composer.

Now for your love affair with your drug addled "writer" and your PoS athlete, I wouldn't waste a drop of urine on them if they were on fire....yep that's hate right there.

You Bandwaggoning fruit
CrimsonReign - 1/4/2013, 10:43 AM
Is it just me or does this seem really fast?
SteveRogersSon - 1/4/2013, 10:48 AM
LOL kiddo, you make me laugh...everyone who is a bandwagonner has been cheering for Baby Brady and his ree ree Gronk...

Let's not get into how much you been sucking up the failed experiment that is Superman DCnPU...and the fanboy romance with WW...cliche much...to go with one of the worse reboot origins ever.

OH and I found your Jersey.. Just trying to figure out your size....how many Xs are in extra fat?

SteveRogersSon - 1/4/2013, 10:57 AM
didn't they make the suit from leftovers from Thor?

yep sarcasm.
JULEZ13 - 1/4/2013, 10:59 AM
I like the Donner score, but its dated, IMO. Its from over 30 years ago. Styles and cultures change, I'm really looking forward to hearing the new score. I hope its better than the Donner score, or at least just as good. But most of all I just hope its fits in perfectly with the style of the film and its story.
SteveRogersSon - 1/4/2013, 11:26 AM
don't worry I deciphered your greasy fingered typing the first time LOL

Dude post a pic of manface Bundchen. ROFL. You go to her hometown and, at the local market, you'll find 20 girls prettier than her, at any given time.

@JULEZ I disagree with the score being outdated. But agree that the new one must fit the mood perfectly. Still, kinda hard topping Williams'
Maximus101 - 1/4/2013, 2:34 PM
Lol not too many people like you on here do they Steve.

mgeoff88 - 1/4/2013, 8:29 PM
@dud3rulz I do want to be optimistic, but the John Williams' them is just that good.

If the MOS score is better, than that would be pretty awesome. :)
JULEZ13 - 1/4/2013, 8:36 PM
@rbfn04 : The John Williams theme is pretty dated. Anyone can hear it and automatically tell it came from the 70s or 80s. It's also very similar to the Star Wars theme. It is classic because it is old & basically lets the listener know what era it was made in. To me, as someone who wasn't around to hear it when it first came out, I feel as though it is dated. I don't have the bias as those who grew up with it might have. Nostalgia can do that. Just my opinion though.
Jacad - 1/5/2013, 1:44 AM
not a big fan of the stuff Zimmer's been pumping out lately, but his classic scores are MAGIC! I just hope that he's done something special for Supes, instead of his go-to method as of late. those ostinatos/synth loops may have worked for Batman and Inception, but that approach is just way beneath the scope of a Superman film.

there are bits in his score to The Prince of Egypt that could pass for a Supes vibe, so I hope Zimmer has done something almost similar to that.
BenderdickCumPatch - 1/8/2013, 5:13 PM
I heard it in the trailer.
