UPDATE: THE WOLVERINE Trailer Will Be Delayed

We had previously reported that the first trailer for The Wolverine would be with us tomorrow, February 12th. Our info came from an official source but now director James Mangold reckon this was "guessing" and has revealed we'll probably be waiting until March to see it.

If you where expecting the first trailer to hit this Tuesday, then you'll be disappointed. Mangold went on Twitter to address in response to a fan: @Sleepyrocko_O @wolverinemovie ..."Sorry. Rumor was not correct, Sleepy. Stay tuned and I'll let you know. People were guessing".

Well, there you have it. It would appear that we'll have to wait even longer until we get our first glimpse of footage.

UPDATE: Mangold recently stated: "Tell me you think we're lame after you see the teaser. At least then you will be critiquing images from the film, not a marketing window".

"Take a deep breath. End of March".

Looks like we'll have a trailer by the end of March, stay tuned once more info hits.

oh ffs, this film has had ages to bring out a trailer now, even just a teaser!
Spideyguy94 - 2/10/2013, 5:01 PM
They seriously need to start marketing this movie, it's out in 5 months and all they've got to show for it is a poster and 2 or 3 official pics. And considering how hated origins is they need to work hard to make this film a success, because some people don't even know its coming out or simply don't care.

Well that answers the question on that other article.

I'll bet on the trailer debuting with G.I. Joe.

@Marvelgeek219

So freaking true
SotoJuiceMan - 2/10/2013, 6:12 PM
Just show us something god!
TonyChu - 2/10/2013, 6:24 PM
This movie comes out this year? And yet we have yet to get a single teaser.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 6:34 PM
Damn!jCameron isn't banned yet?!WTF!!!
SuperDude001 - 2/10/2013, 6:38 PM
I think they could at least show a teaser or something. Even if it was a little viral marketing, like all we've got a pretty much several of the same images of Hugh Jackman trying to look badass as Wolverine.
This movie may be great, but it's advertising is giving me low expectations.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 6:38 PM
Back to topic, when are they going to release a trailer. It is February and a trailer should have been released by now.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 6:47 PM
One thing about a situation like this is look at Dredd last year,we didn't get a trailer till one or two months before release I think. It was close to Dredd's release.Dredd was loved by the CBM community when it came out.The Wolverine could be like Dredd where the trailer is revealed close to the premiere and be a great movie,or this could be a box office bomb waiting to happen.

@Marvelgeek219 This movie could be a huge bomb for all we know.Origins was a HUGE letdown and terrible.Deadpool/Wade Wilson was raped by Fox in that movie.Silver Samurai is wearing his costume from the comics, but what about Wolvie.Logan could at least have a black costume like Jollem posted above. You just can't trust Fox.I have no faith in this movie and I will not see it unless it gets great reviews.I can't trust Fox after all of their CBMs and XO:Wolverine. We have other movies to look forward to this summer:

Iron Man 3
Star Trek:Into Darkness
Man of Steel
Kick Ass 2

Bad sign

James Mangold just posted on his twitter that the trailer is set for end of March.

MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 8:34 PM
@Marvelgeek219 Deadpool is a fan favorite, just like Gambit.Lots of people want to see a Deadpool movie.Plus,he doesn't suck.

And people also want to see Logan in costume, not leather or a leather jacket+wife beater and jeans.Logan in the comics, dressed like a lumberjack in flannel shirts, jeans, and cowboy hat when he wasn't out kicking ass with the X-Men or by himself. If Marvel can give Cap,Thor, and a few others their costumes Fox can too.Wolvie needs a costume from the comics but changed with alterations. It can work for film.If you love Fox's movies I say I'm happy for you.
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 8:42 PM
i could care less if wolverine was wearing a wife-beater & jeans, a kimono, samurai armor, a cowboy hat, or the brown and tan

don't matter
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 8:44 PM
@jCameron Still trolling I see. You're on borrowed time on this site,I guarantee you.People are tired of you trolling and bitching on this site.I'll be surprised you last the rest of this week here.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 8:47 PM
@Jollem When you make CBMs,people want to see costumes or slight alterations of what they wear in the comics.Plain and simple.Watchmen is a perfect example that with slight changes comic costumes can work onscreen.
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 8:56 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 - i think you may get ahead of yourself sometimes when you speak for "the people". i totally understand what you're getting at, tho

the reason i say it doesn't matter to me what wolverine is wearing is because i have been reading and buying his comics for many years and have seen all kinds of costume changes. in the comics he has gone on long stints of not wearing the costume with the mask at all. the wife-beater & jeans look is almost as classic as some of his suits are

watchmen was great
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 9:43 PM
@Jollem So you're not tired of seeing Logan wearing jeans, tank top, leather coat? And Logan doesn't go too long without wearing a costume in the comics.Logan's clothing of choice is mostly lumberjack when he's out of costume. If Logan is in X-Men:DOFP longer than just a cameo,I want to see him and the others in costume.Plus,I don't speak for the people,go check around other websites and read what the people want for this franchise.YouTube is a perfect example.
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 9:59 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 - it would be cool to see any version of his masked suits and if they can make it look good. but, i also don't mind seeing wolverine in jeans, tank top, and a leather coat because that's the look i know from a lot of the comics

i personally can't wait to see what they're gonna do with dofp. who knows, the old-schoolers could be in their same garb from x 1-3? i believe this movie is going to introduce a new, parallel x-universe. so we very well may see all-new mutants in their more colorful costumes. fingers crossed!

when you tell me; "When you make CBMs,people want to see costumes or slight alterations of what they wear in the comics.Plain and simple.", this very much sounds like you are speaking for "the people". i'm sure there are all kinds of fans from the "life-longers" to the "johhny-come-lately's" that want to see all kinds of varied things. i never said there weren't people that don't want to see the more comics-accurate suits, but i'm sure not everyone cares about that
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:00 PM
@Marvelgeek219 There are lots of people on YouTube comments section who know about the X-Men comics or cartoons.Hell,go to ScreenRant,Collider,or SuperHero Hype. Some people are getting tired of the way Fox is [frick]ing up the X-Men movies. You think Fox's X-Men movies will ever see The Avengers numbers?Hell NO!Fox has the best comic book property and they're too blind to see it.X-Men done right could make more money than the Avengers and be great movies.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:03 PM
@Jollem I'm speaking for myself.Imagine a Phoenix and Dark Phoenix movie from the comics done right.I'd bet that movie would beat Avatar at the box office.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:09 PM
@Marvelgeek219 Let's see how The Wolverine does after its release. Then we can really talk.HAHA!!!
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 10:10 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 - the avengers movies haven't been done "right", but they have been done well enough, in my honest and humble o

i mean, what is "right and definite". it's a myth. every cbm is "right" for their own movie
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:15 PM
@Marvelgeek219 People fell for the hype and that's why Avatar was so successful.James Cameron was also a big reason.I bet Avatar 2 will not make nowhere close to what the first movie did.The only thing good about Avatar was the F/X.The story was nothing new.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:16 PM
@jCameron Remember,borrowed time,TROLL.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:24 PM
@Jollem I agree that Marvel should be more faithful, but they are close to the source. All or most of Marvel's source material from the comics is great work. They have done alright by the comics so far but Marvel's source material/old comics/past great stories is where it's at.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:32 PM
Like I said before if you guys are willing to accept Fox's X-movies,then fine.I've collected X-Men comics for more than twenty years and Fox haven't even touched this frachise's full potential. These movies could be EPIC.
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 10:33 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 - there's been lots of great stuff in lots of cbms :)
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:35 PM
@jCameron You're funny!I'm just going to sit back, wait, and drink my Natural Ice.It's only a matter of time my friend.
Jollem - 2/10/2013, 10:35 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79 - hey, if you don't like the x-men movies, that's cool. all cbms could be more of the epic
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/10/2013, 10:51 PM
You guys do understand that a bad CBM is bad for the genre as a whole right? Especially if it's a big name like Wolverine or the Marvel Flagship Xmen.

You fans should really be grateful and not whine constantly.

If you really want to make a difference in order for your vision to come through be like Michael Uslan and buy the movie rights.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 10:54 PM
The FoX-Men movies suck!Big time!!!I have no hope for these future films.I just don't see how people can look forward to these movies after abominations like FF,FF:Rise of the Silver Surfer,Elektra, and the X-movies.Damn this!I'm out!
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/10/2013, 11:00 PM
It makes me sad to realize how upset he was. Oh well....
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 11:02 PM
@Marvelgeek Who's the bitch you're referring to?
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 11:03 PM
And who is upset @FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin?
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 11:11 PM
@Marvelgeek Really.I didn't even disrespect you when we were talking about this movie and now I'm a bitch.I see that you're passionate about these movies and a keyboard thug.I wonder how old you are.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 11:25 PM
@Marvelgeek I'll tell you this,I won't get behind a keyboard and try to be tough, but, there's no way you'll call me a bitch to my face.I can't see nobody being tough when you're on the internet calling someone a bitch or other names.
FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin - 2/10/2013, 11:27 PM
This site has rabid morons given the privilege to write out their opinions in matters they really have no clue about.

All of us are fans, Hollywood will feed us shit when they want, but it doesn't make it any better for you to feel pissy about their piss poor attempt at interpretation.

A lot of fans miss the point of how movies is a totally different medium of art. You have to make creative decision base on what you feel gives you the best chance to rake in an audience.

Fanboys make up literally 2 percent of the CBM audience, the rest could give 2 shits about it and move on with their lives.

In the end movies are to be judged by how well crafted they are not how tight the freaking spandex was on the character.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/10/2013, 11:44 PM
@Marvelgeek I'm through talking to you.At least me and Jollem could type without calling each other names. And then your buddy above you want to call people morons. This is a website where you can voice your opinion.I'm just tired of piss poor CBMs.I just can't call somebody a bitch or another name over the internet.I'd love to see you call me that to my face.[frick] this,I'm wasting my time.
Jollem - 2/11/2013, 12:02 AM
i'll only ever hulk out if someone disses the biebs :)
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 2/11/2013, 12:08 AM
@Marvelgeek Go have a cry!Really.Go to bed, school time is right around the corner.Don't let all the bullying make you too bitter in life.
marvel72 - 2/11/2013, 4:21 AM
for f*cksake, just release the f*ckin trailer.
