“Taking over the role of Superman is both amazing and intimidating,” he said in an interview. “Superman is such an iconic super hero and to have the opportunity to give him a voice is truly an honor that I do not take lightly. Taking over the reigns from my father is just the icing on the cake.

Daly also addresses how Superman is his favorite superhero:

“I judge super heroes by their powers,” Daly explained. “When I think to myself, ‘If I could have any superpower, what would it be?’ My first answer is always to fly. Then when you throw in superhuman strength, x-ray vision, heat vision, superhuman breath, superhuman intelligence, it becomes much clearer that Superman is my all-time favorite super hero.”

And lastly, what it's like to step into a role his father once portrayed:

“The fact that two generations of Daly men are able to be a part of the Superman family is humbling and extremely exciting,” he shared. “It's something that my dad and I will always share a bond over.”

I think Sam will do just fine as Superman. I love watching himself, and his father on The Daly Show.

Looks like Supes paid a visit to one of 6trece's witch doctor friends and got his dome shrunk.

Why draw Superman's head smaller disproportionate to his body?Maybe they're going for size comparison for when they show flashpoint Superman's look.
fettastic - 6/27/2013, 7:10 AM
They need to stop redesigning characters just for the sake of redesigning them. I agree Superman looks ridiculous in that pic.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 6/27/2013, 7:14 AM
Superman does look wierd. Story will probably be great, but the art doesn't look too good.

FlixMentallo21 - 6/27/2013, 9:57 AM
You know what I think is kind of odd? Everyone knows about the 'Superman curse', right? How everyone involved in a big-screen version of the character is negatively impacted afterwards in their personal lives?

I think it doesn't affect anyone involved with animation.

HGH Supes not withstanding - pretty cool that the Daly's have turned their Superman voiceover work into a family affair. Didn't even realize the connection til this article.
