HA! I loved how goofy this film was when I was a kid. I had the VHS tape that was part of that series where if you lined them up together, they formed a complete image on the side of the boxes.

@Owlman Well, I personally consider Revenge to be one of the worst in terms of quality due to the extremely light plot and use of stock footage. Heh, now that would be an interesting one to revisit...

Thanks!

Ahhh, good ol' Saturday morning creature features. These Godzilla movies were even more special before VCR's and Beta's because you couldn't see them at your liesure, so when I saw it was coming up in TV Guide, I was chomping at the bit for Saturday to arrive.

When I was a kid, the scene where G dropped a rock on Minya's tail to make him blast atomic fire always cracked me up. It's a good Godzilla film for different reasons than the others.

I used to look forward to Sunday morning "creature features" as a kid. Those movies were always just so much fun! We only had five channels as a kid (three networks, PBS, and an independent), but we had better TV than there is today with 500 channels. It really sucks that kids today grow up without the classics, like the Stooges, Looney Tunes (the old ones, not that new series), and monster movies. Son of Godzilla could be a little silly at times, but there was an effort made to give more depth to Godzilla's character, which did make it special.
