"better than 7 of the 8 movies nominated for Best Picture"

That explains so much, smh.

But yeah The Lego Movie was snubbed.

I don't really care about oscars or anything related.

Just call me when my mans DiCraprio wins best actor.

This was probably the best movie this past year. I enjoy it every time it's on and still from time to time catch jokes going on in the background.

I just noticed the other day in the "Western Town" the cowboy in the water tank taking a bath and bubbles were coming up. lol!

Everyone knows the Oscars is all politics and campaigning. Doesn't mean shit. THE LEGO MOVIE is easily the best animated American film in 2014.
BeyondtheFuture
BeyondtheFuture - 1/15/2015, 12:34 PM
I think it should have been nominated but I also think Big Hero 6 deserves to win. The way it dealt with someones depression all the way through the film was brilliant. Although it did follow the kill the hero to bring them back at the end formula Disney used in both Frozen and Tangled.

No Lego Movie in The Oscars? Go F*%# your M0Th3r *!
COREY6487
COREY6487 - 1/15/2015, 12:35 PM
lmao... is this even happening xD

lego is not better than HTTYD 2 and from what i hear online the oscar is pretty much 100% going to the movie kaguya. i never expected it to not get a nomination, but i knew it would never win.

the movie is just a fun movie. but the ending is weird and confusing. doesnt make sense and the live action lastet too long

the lego song got a nom even though its crap. let it go is way better.
ALF9001
ALF9001 - 1/15/2015, 12:38 PM
I didn't like it as much as everyone else did. I thought it was okay, in my opinion the first two parts were nothing special but the third act was a stroke of genius. It definitely deserved to be nominated, bus HTTYD2 and Big Hero 6 are the superior films IMO, BH6 had much more heart and HTTYD2 had the best drama of all of them, all the stoic/ hiccup parts of the movie are awesome, but it also had the most anticlimatic ending.

DaniDeSanta - 1/15/2015, 12:39 PM
The Lego Movie is (in my opinion) my favorite movie of 2014 (apart from Guardians of Galaxy, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Hobbit 3). It's ten times better than Big Hero 6. Just a shame that it didn't make to the Best Animated Feature :(
ALF9001
ALF9001 - 1/15/2015, 12:40 PM
But all of the contenders and the Lego movie are MILES ahead of Frozen, which was nothing special except for the music (wich was great)

If anybody thinks it doesn't deserve it, even on technical merits, you gotta watch this video, crazy amount of work that went into it...

Absolute travesty that it wasn't even nominated - it should have won!
Kazaam
Kazaam - 1/15/2015, 12:52 PM
I just hope HTTYD 2 wins. The movie is spectacular for kids and adults, has an incredible amount of heart and an amazing soundtrack. Just as good as the first, if not better.
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 1/15/2015, 12:58 PM
Seen about 30 minutes of the Lego movie. I laughed, it was funny. Not like the Oscars are important anyway.

MyNameIsKhan - 1/15/2015, 1:01 PM
@Kazaam Agree HTTYD 2 Was that perfect animated sequel IMO. Haven't seen Big Hero 6 yet. And for fear of attack of the fanboys I will keep silent about how I feel about The Lego Movie......
RVD420
RVD420 - 1/15/2015, 1:17 PM
The Lego movie was pretty good. I didn't see any of the other animated films that actually got nominated but I doubt they're that much, if at all, better than the lego one.
TheBigLebowski
TheBigLebowski - 1/15/2015, 1:21 PM
This was a funny and entertaining movie, made better by the fact that everyone thought a "lego movie" would be a piece of shit. But why does that mean it should be nominated for the best animated film oscar? Kinda like you shouldn't nominate Edge of Tomorrow for best picture.
Meteor
Meteor - 1/15/2015, 1:40 PM
It deserved totally a nomination. The movie really felt like real legos were alive! Technically speaking it was over the top, and the humor is like a big bonus.
Dragons 2 is also beautiful (especially the landscapes, amazing).
Really enjoyed Big Hero 6, I support it for the win actually
ChuckV
ChuckV - 1/15/2015, 2:07 PM
The Lego Movie was pretty good… but I wouldn't disrespect the other nominated films just to make a case.

Some people need to relax. Warner Bros and Lego made plenty of money.
PkBlitz
PkBlitz - 1/15/2015, 2:19 PM
Maybe the voters are retarded enough to think it's a movie fully made out of actual freaking legos instead of CGI. To people as stupid as them, that would not fit into the "animation" category. Of course, to think that so many film professionals would not know about the techinicalities of the LEGO movie is a too farfetched...
ALF9001
ALF9001 - 1/15/2015, 2:27 PM
@Batz I'm sorry, but if we're talking about technical merits, HTTYD2 takes the gold, the level of detail and hard work that went into that movie blew my mind. It's the first animated movie with Dreamworks' new software and it looks beautiful
Argetlam22
Argetlam22 - 1/15/2015, 3:08 PM
@ ShadowakaTank: "its that good?" .....haha, you have no f*cking idea. watch the movie, seriously. its fan-freaking-tastic. everything you want or expect from a lego movie. and a few things you probably didnt.

the fact that it didnt get nominated is a travesty wrapped in a conundrum shoved up the ass-end of a LOLWUT.
TheOverlord
TheOverlord - 1/15/2015, 4:20 PM
@ShadowakaTank Yes, it was that good. I didn't want to like it - got dragged to it by my kids, thinking it would be a pile of shit. But it was AWESOME. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

I don't remember this movie being that good. I mean I liked it but I like most animated films that aren't Cars or Monsters University.
