According to the Winnipeg Free Press [via DCmovies.com] actor Adam Beach has been cast in David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie.  Beach is best known for his role as Tommy in Walker, Texas Ranger.  Beach will apparently play the little known DC Comics villain Slipknot

While the character is not very well-known and has a pretty silly superpower (chemically altered ropes), Slipknot does have ties to the Suicide Squad.  His big claim to comic book fame is that he called Amanda Waller's bluff on whether the bombs she'd implanted in each member of the Suicide Squad were real.  Needless to say, testing Waller and whether the bombs were real DID NOT end well for Slipknot.  Perhaps Beach's Slipknot will have a similar role in the film?

Filming on Suicide Squad is currently underway in Vancouver. The film hits US theaters on August 5, 2016.
