after the massive success of fast 7 nothing surprises me anymore.

and after 14 years most people that went to see this probably do not even know what jurassic park is.

@drunkenmadnukem well the writing is irrelevant in regards to what I was talking with milk about which is that the human characters don't matter in the Jurassic park movies. They wouldn't have hired a rising megastar to headline it if they didn't consider him an integral part of the marketing

Almost no one will watch Jurassic World because of the human characters, the Dinos are what people really want to see.

It's like Transformers movies, Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox were the main human characters in the first movies, have changed the main human character with Mark Wahlberg and the Transformers movies continued making $1.1 billion at the box office.

The human characters are irrelevant to the success of the Transformers movies people want to see is the giant robots, same thing with Jurassic World.

Pratt has been in three #1 movies lately eg Lego Movie, GOTG, and now, JW. Hollywood sees something in him to have him headline these franchises. Don't be surprised if he gets cast as the next Indiana Jones.

throwback when boxoffice estimated an 85million dollar opening weekend back in march or some shit, avengers made 84m on friday, but only 50+50 sun+sat, this could be a juggernaut, people are nuts over this film for pure nostalgia

This year, there are large gaps between the huge franchise movies, allowing them to all gross their potential. Next year, these same kind of movies are going to eat each other.
