Makes sense that DC wants to dominate TV at the same time the DCCU officially rolls out on the big screen, which would also be in Spring of 2016.

Honestly you'd think they roll it out during the summer hiatus when both Flash and Arrow are over for the season.

It's always been spring 2016 between the season finale 9f flash arrow and season oremier

@cdpacheco89 It was always midseason.

This is actually a good thing. Kreisberg and his team have a lot on their plates. Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and this show. Step back and do it right.

I don't get why they need to delay this show. I saw the commercial for the show after Arrow ended and I thought it would be a show that comes on in the summer. This way you can watch LoT after season 1 of Flash and season 3 of Arrow. Yet then I heard it wouldn't come out until after those shows and it makes no sense to me because LoT was filming before the next season of Arrow and Flash.

DELAY UNTIL SPRING 2016 will be come a theme for DC

maybe the storylines of the season finales of Arrow and Flash will coincide with the beginning of LoT.

If this was a movie and was pushed back then that's a bad sign, but not a TV series.

Element36 - 6/27/2015, 10:15 AM
This doesn't sound like trouble. It honestly makes more sense to build one of the mid-season finales of Arrow and or Flash to premier the new show. There are major things like White Canary that probably need a little bit of back story to make sense.

I'm looking forward to it!

Also, maybe it'll mean a 13 Episode Season (which I kind of like because it can remove the filler episodes) or have a show that goes into the summer.

Either way, I'm not Worried :)

It is a show with over arching characters, no reason to have 3 shows on at the same time that do all the same things, this was Amell and Gustin can just continue working an extra month or two.

This show looks stupid as shit. I can't believe people like this campy CW garbage. Arrow was cool the first two seasons and now it's a joke, Flash is beyond cheesy with Wells character being the only decent one on that show, and don't even get me started on Supergirl. LOL

That was so awful. I would rather watch Batman and Robin and that ain't no joke.

@KurtWagner1225 "Captain Cold and Heatwave don't need to be on the team"

It's because Wentworth Miller kicked so much ass in the role. So they want to use him as a prominent role. But I get you point hows are villains on the team.
speedyg33
speedyg33 - 6/27/2015, 1:27 PM
@KurtWagner1225 - I completely agree with you. The show needs star power and he has a good following. On top of that he just won a Saturn Award for his portrayal of Captain Cold. When I first heard he and Dominic Purcell were involved it didn't make sense to me. I hope they are villains not heroes myself but we'll see.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow was initially confirmed to air during the midseason hiatus of Arrow and The Flash, which usually occurs around Dec./Jan."

It was never due in 2015. It was never going to come this December. Re-watch the first-look trailer: it clearly states 2016.

"However, the official twitter account for the show's writer's room has stated the show is now slated to air Spring 2016 (with a ?, so even they aren't sure)."

Read the tweet again! The question mark isn't because they're not sure. Rather, it's because they're asking a question ("Who ... ?"). "Who else is super excited about Legends of Tomorrow, premiering Spring 2016 on the CW?"

well...its still on the CW right? So it will be for kids who don't care about writing, plot, or acting ability. So who cares. Aside from stupid people

From a production standpoint it makes complete logical sense.

With several key crew members working on Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and/or LoT, it means they won't be forced to stretch their attention/focus too thin across some/all these series. For instance, Kreisberg & Greg Berlanti are co-creators & EPs for all four series and writers for all but LoT.

Plus, the shows will all air in the Spring, so their stories can overlap and have crossovers. Well, except for Supergirl it's still up in the air, pun intended, whether or not it's in the shared DCtv universe and will crossover.

Wow, the reporting on this site has really gone to shit. As someone else said, it was always gonna be released in 2016.

This used to be one of the first sites I would come to for comics related news. Now, it's one of the last.
