I really enjoy the Silent Hills movie. I've lost count how many times I have watched it.

I know nothing about W.O.W. other than what I've seen on South Park. Looking forward to seeing what its all about.

Looks great. Never played a Warcraft game. But this looks just great. Hopefully its as grand as LoTR. This and Assassin's Creed hopefully starts a spurge of video games adaptations both in big screen and TV, just like we are getting a spurge of comic book movies and Tv(more of a gamer than comic book reader)

Prince of Persia was a great videos game adaptation and a pretty decent movie if you take out the video game adaptation tag. Warrior Within was my favorite PoP, but can't see that,in a foreseeable future, being adapted to big screen though.

Other adaptations that I would like to see are Fallout and Skyrim. But they would work better as Tv series rather than movies.

And loved Vikings. Travis Fimell is a great actor. Surely he could pull it off.

Both the original Mortal Kombat and Prince of Persia are fantastic movies.

Trailer screenshots:

That image from the battle in the forest looks fake AF, wasn't the soldders real actors and not CGI... and don't let me start with this:

I don't know how many people here say the CGI of this film it's amazing, but whatever. As former WoW/Warcraft player so far this looks pretty meh to me.

I want Duncan Jones to direct a CBM after this

Moon and Source Code are great movies

I could see him directing a Cyborg movie, especially after watching Source Code, I think he could nail that horror feeling of Victor's transformation, he would probably make an amazing Green Lantern movie too

@MercwithMouth: Fantastic as a 'video game adaptation'. In my opinion we need an Winter Soldier or TDK-esque quality movies. The director of Warcraft movie directed Source Code. And that was damn awesome. So that gives me hopes.

Loved PoP thought. Again Jake Gyllenhaal killed it as Prince.

@DurtyTalynt

truly good video game adaptations... At least good for me.
Not breaking records but better than MK, StreetFighter and Silent Hill...

Max Payne,
Tomb Raider,
Resident Evil,
Doom,
Hitman,
Prince of Persia
Wreck it Ralph,
Street Fighter anime (multiple movies)
Scott Pilgrim Vs the World
Need For Speed

I really want this to be good, but there's way too much CGi.

If the Apes movies have taught us anything, it's that you cannot under-value the importance of shooting ON REAL LOCATIONS. You can have CGi characters, but the environments need to be believable.

I'll wait until the trailer actually releases in Dec./Jan.

@DrKinsolving: If he succeeds, he could deliver a great Black Panther movie too.

@Desr0w: Looks like Voldemort had a baby with a Moria orc. The pics looks awesome though.

The Orcs look like cartoons, honestly. Of course it looks great when you compare it to CGI from like 5 years ago, but the bar's been raised and the standards now are higher. So i'm sorry if this looks like it belongs in a different era LOL

@dragons292014

We'll never get movies quite that good based on video games. There just aren't that many games that lend themselves to great adaptation. God of War could be incredible, maybe one of the Final Fantasy games.

Other than that, I'm not much of a gamer, so ideas escape me.

I say these four were good enough to be considered better than MK...
Max Payne,
Tomb Raider,
Resident Evil,
Doom,
Hitman,

MK is nostalgic, yes, but definitely not that great of a movie.. I just remember being like, "Can we just get a Scorpion vs Sub Zero movie?" I remember as a kid thinking Scorpion was awesome in that movie.. him and his little dragon spear.

I didn't mind Silent Hill as a creepy weird movie, but I thought it was going to be different when I first saw it.
I still think Resident Evil captured the video game decently... Not as dark as "Dawn of the Dead" but definitely was entertaining.

Haven't played that much of the Warcraft series, but the director Duncan Jones will surely deliver. Source code and Moon were awesome. Hell this guy is writing this. From the feel of it, nothing can go wrong.

About Assassin's Creed though, it has one of the hard concept to pull off. This alone needs a high quality writing. Hopefully they don't drop the balls on that. Their games aren't doing that well(haven't played any AC game since 3.)

I know nothing about Warcraft so If I'm seeing this movie I'll take it as spin-off/ untold story of Ragnar ^^
