I'd like The Hand as the main villainous group. But who leads it? Elektra? I imagine she will be bad/good. Same with Punisher.

So who is the actual villain?

This is why you need Kingpin operating from prison and hiring a master assassin, Bullseye.

I agree. The composition at least worked in the promo because you knew it was a Sistine chapel-esque mural. Without context, these just look bad.

Also, the Sistine Chapel ceiling actually had interesting compositions in each box. This is just floating heads and screencaps.

Ya, season2 looks awesome!! it gonna be crazy with Punisher n Electra.
I love what Netflix is doing with DD.

The tone of this show is so gritty, and beautiful, that i forget its part of the McU.

Here is what the heavy Catholic symbolism is telling me in all of this promo art:

1. A struggle is being waged for the NYC's soul.

2. Daredevil is like a Guardian Angel, shepherding the weak and innocent.

3. Kingpin locked in jail after being exposed as a crime lord is like Satan being trapped in Hell after his fall from grace.

4. Punisher will be The Angel of Death, purveyor of Wrath upon the wicked.

5. Daredevil represents a New Testament morality of compassion towards one's enemies, while Punisher represents a vengeful Old Testament morality of "eye for an eye".

6. Elektra's double role as Matt's lover and Hand assassin makes her a biblical temptress in the vein of Salome or Eve who compromises the hero's morals.

7. Bullseye, if he appears, will be a demon, a malevolent being who exists to bring chaos and ruin upon all he encounters.

Ahh, the top pattern says M (for Matt/Murdock), the bottom pattern says W (for Wilson). A mirror image of each other. Two sides of the same coin. Very clever.

The Hand will probably be a main villain throughout with Elektra as a leader-type before she turns 'good'. It'd be nice if Fisk was the mastermind in the end. Maybe Bullseye kills Elektra? Or is that too much in one season? Matt and Elektra already have a past.

The stuff with The Hand could lead into The Defenders territory. Black Sky will probably show up somewhat with Daredevil learning of Stone as well. Any room for Gladiator?
