Back in June, Latino-Review reported that Chris Pine was actually closing in on a deal to play Green Lantern , not Steve Trevor in the DCEU.  In July, Bith.Movies.Death reported that "Pine is definitely leaning towards Green Lantern."  However, Pine is currently making the press rounds to promote his new film, Finest Hours, and stated that he never even had a discussion about Green Lantern.  “No. I was not offered Green Lantern ever, I’ve never had a conversation about Green Lantern.”

Do you believe Pine?  Keep in mind, we are currently in an age where actors and film studios routinely deny things that actually turn out to be true.

Pine is currently filming Wonder Woman which opens in North American theaters on June 23, 2017.  Green Lantern is rumored to make a cameo appearance at the end of Justice League: Part One before starring in a solo film dated for release in 2017 before receiving his own stand-alone film in 2020.
