I think this will be a great video game movie adaption. Ubisoft was very involved with the production.

@Jollem I agree with you about Mortal Kombat and Silent Hill. But Hitman, Resident Evil, and Super Mario Bros. were nothing like the games... Terrible adaptions.

@Jollem are you referring to the 2007 Hitman film?

Gears of War would look [frick]ing glorious as a movie. Bioshock and Red Dead Redemption would though too. Hopefully the Uncharted movie turns out to be good.

@Jollem yea, same here, Rupert was excellent as 47, but I prefer the 2007 movie over the newer one . Though they are still both pretty mediocre.

@Jollem I forgot about the Hitman movie in 2007. That was closer to the games than the new Hitman movie.

The Resident Evil movie is a very loose adaption of the games. Yes, it had zombies, a licker, and a vaguely similar plot, but the first movie didn't even feature characters from the game. They weren't brought in until the sequels. If you do a RE game marathon and then watch the movies, you'll see how different they are.

Doing a live-action Super Mario Bros. was a mistake. Sorry, but this isn't Bowser:



The only way a Super Mario Bros. movie would work is if it was CG.
