Zack Snyder is the master of the slow motion fight scene. Guillermo del Toro (Channeling my inner Peter Parker I shall refer to him as "Guamy" for the rest of this post)is the master of make-up and SFX.

Zack Snyder tries to inject a certain level of seriousness to the fantastical and surreal, often exploring societal norms and the everyman problems of characters that are larger than life.Guamy tends to dwell on the horror side of films. Often his movies are cinematically dark, whether they be actual horror films or fantasy. He was once quoted as saying "I have a fetish for insects, clockwork, monsters, dark places, and unborn things." Make of that what you will, the bottom line is that it makes him wildly successful.

Zack Snyder has treated fans to Dawn of the Dead, 300,Watchmen (I personally loved it), Sucker Punch, and is set to direct the forthcoming Man of Steel. He's also directed music videos for Morrissey and My Chemical Romance. Guamy has a pretty extensive list of feature films he has written/directed, probably more than most people realize. On said list are Cronos, Mimic, Blade II, Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy II,Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, and the forthcoming 2-parter The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again. He also nearly as famous for turning down movies, the likes of which include Blade:Trinity (dear God, I wish he hadn't), Resident Evil:Apocalypse, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, I Am Legend, Resident Evil: Extinction, One Missed Call, Halo, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. After the Hobbit films wrap, he is set to helm Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Slaughterhouse-Five, and Drood.

Personally, I am more of a fan of Snyder. Watchmen and 300 were outstanding films and really adapted comic properties in a fashion that suspended that sense of "this is a comic book movie" and really engulfed the audience in the storyline. For me, Guamy goes for the exact opposite. He never wants his audience to forget that his movies are "fantasy" and that you're watching things that would only occur in the wildest of dreams. As a person that prefers more thought-provoking cinema and isn't easily swayed by great special effects, I just can fully connect.

Now I'd like to ask you guys, which one do you prefer? Which one would you choose to direct origin stories for

Daredevil, Luke Cage, Nova Corps, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Moon Knight?
