This was really funny yet at the same time touching. If this is an indication of what people can expect from Joss Whedon's script for The Avengers then I personally think this may be the summer film to beat.

The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast, which includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson. In The Avengers, Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America to save the world from destruction.

Development of The Avengers began when Marvel Studios received a grant from Merrill Lynch in April 2005. After the success of the film Iron Man in May 2008, Marvel announced that The Avengers would be released in July 2011. With the signing of Scarlett Johansson in March 2009, the film was pushed back for a 2012 release. Whedon was brought on board in April 2010 and rewrote the screenplay that was originally written by Zak Penn. Production began in April 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in August 2011 and New York City in September 2011. The film was converted to 3D in post-production.

The Avengers is scheduled for release on May 4, 2012 in the United States in 2D and 3D.

Xeriath - 4/24/2012, 7:08 AM
hahah I actually liked this scene. Coulson comes off as a bit creepy and I think it's actually funny! By the way, we better be getting non-spoiler reviews from all of our Brit friends on this site after they see the movie!
Fogs - 4/24/2012, 7:12 AM
@brazilianbatman - Shut up man, scene was awesome and explains why they're using the uniform.

Nolanites gonna.... Nolanize?
l0rdleg0las - 4/24/2012, 7:12 AM
@brazilianbatman

what are you talking about that was a great scene? a guy meeting his hero for the first time, of course he is going to be flustered. and the world is in such a state of complete and utter shit right now, that someone with real, old fashioned morals and way of looking at things would be a great thing for the world
WolvieCBM - 4/24/2012, 7:12 AM
darthrageracer: Then don't watch it. Simple as that.
thalidomide - 4/24/2012, 7:13 AM

Fogs - 4/24/2012, 7:14 AM
@AndyRooIII - hahaha... yeah! Coulson's such a fanboy, he doesn't know what to say, love it.
LAXtremest - 4/24/2012, 7:15 AM
YouTube version please
Fogs - 4/24/2012, 7:15 AM
Oh keep on watching, Gregg says DC characters are "black and white", perhaps that's where the hating is based on.
Watcher - 4/24/2012, 7:18 AM
Coulson did a good job designing the uniform.

It's beautiful and perfect. Including the helmet.
ironknight - 4/24/2012, 7:23 AM
What do you maen, people with "Batman" in their names are hating on this movie? The surprises never stop on this site.
ralfinader - 4/24/2012, 7:23 AM
Never watched this guy before, good interviewer. 9 more days for me, to end over 30 years of waiting!
Fogs - 4/24/2012, 7:26 AM
@Juggernaut - HAHAHAHAH

@darthrageracer - pretty much both, there are stupid fanatic people everywhere, man.

@ralfinader - true, I liked the interview as well.
vtopa - 4/24/2012, 7:28 AM
I know that people are worried that they are putting out too much footage, but my guess is that in a movie that is 2.5 hours long, we have seen barely a smidgen of what's to come.
MarkV - 4/24/2012, 7:29 AM
I didn't watch it. Don't complain about being spoiled, just don't watch, it's real easy...
ralfinader - 4/24/2012, 7:31 AM
@darthrageracer - Whedonites I believe is a term that came about back in the Buffy/Angel days. Marvelites sounds like a diet comicbook. Nolanites I guess have come about since TDK or maybe Inception, hard to nail that one down.

Whedonites - Love all things Whedon
Marvelites - Love all things Marvel
Nolanites - Love all things Nolan
Lucasites - Braindead retards
antonio - 4/24/2012, 7:32 AM

@ZMania I think you're going to love it.

@Gusto you're not the only one. :p
krooklyndodger - 4/24/2012, 7:46 AM
Clark Gregg is such a likeable personality. It's cool to hear the fan in him. And not the type of actor that wasn't aware of the character until they got the role and then decided to research.
Dedpool - 4/24/2012, 7:46 AM
YES!!! YES!!! YESS!!! PERFECT!!
Sanderman - 4/24/2012, 7:47 AM

thalidomide - 4/24/2012, 7:59 AM
Guys guys stop it. Stop the DC/Nolanites bashing it's really unnecessary plus it will just get us nowhere.

Anyway Exactly 1 hour to go before April 25!!!
Darthkostis - 4/24/2012, 7:59 AM
2 days to go!!!!
Squish - 4/24/2012, 8:04 AM
Anybody have a youtube link for this scene?
ralfinader - 4/24/2012, 8:05 AM
@thalidomide - the ones that take the DC vs Marvel vs Nolan into every article on Avengers or TDKR only do so because they have never actually interacted face to face with a human outside their embarrassed parents and possible siblings (if the hater in question was the firstborn, odds are the parents stopped procreating).

And you are a lucky bastard.
marknjoanna - 4/24/2012, 8:08 AM
but dc fanboys are sooo much fun to bash.and easy with all the crappy movies dc puts out.ps i mostly only bash the dc idiots that troll the marvel threds.like that but hurt brazilbat lol

marknjoanna - 4/24/2012, 8:17 AM

marknjoanna - 4/24/2012, 8:19 AM
@buthurtbat, so you dont read comics.you didnt like the scene.ummmm then why are you still trolling here
marknjoanna - 4/24/2012, 8:20 AM
but hurt bat nust be like i dont read comics i hate this scene but i think ill troll here for an hour
kevberg - 4/24/2012, 8:20 AM
Coulson with a bit of awkward hero worship...funny enough, but..

One thing that surprisingly disappoints me about that scene is how Cap seems to reject the idea of the suit. It seems like that ignores the Cap movie , as part of his arc was Steve becoming comfortable with the idea he was a symbol and even HELPED DESIGN IT.

If anything it would be the one thing Steve would cling to as a tangible part of his past.

A little disappointed with that., surprisingly.
marknjoanna - 4/24/2012, 8:22 AM
btw you should read a dc comic if what you say is true you dont know if your a dc fan or not huh
