TASM: Andrew Garfield's Top SPIDER-MAN Villains

Andrew Garfield reveals his favorite Spider-Man villains. Some classic Spidey villains are named but he's not too keen on Kraven the Hunter's threat level, calling him a "campy lion hunter".

For those of you without a work-around to MTV international viewing restrictions, Garfield spoke with MTV about who could possibly be the villain for Spider-Man 2. Of course he didn't tell MTV anything but he was willing to discuss his personal favorite Spider-Man nemesi---

"I love all of them. I like Elektro, he's one of the ones I'm very into," said Garfield. "I really like the [Green] Goblin, obviously, and I love Doc Ock. I think I like Doc Ock especially because of what Alfred Molina did [with the character in 'Spider-Man 2']. I don't know; he made that so memorable and kind of profound, somehow."

MTV asked Garfield about a classic villain he didn't name, Kraven the Hunter, and this is what Garfield had to say---

"Oh man. Kraven, that campy lion hunter," he laughed when the villain was brought up, before finally confessing, "I like Kraven. I like Kraven a lot."

So who do you guys want in the sequel? Green Goblin seems like a logical choice with the inclusion of Oscorp in the film but maybe Sony and co. will make a left turn and give us something unexpected?

The Amazing Spider-Man is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Marc Webb, based on the comic book of the same name and starring Andrew Garfield as the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is the fourth Columbia Pictures film that portrays Spider-Man in film and is a reboot of the film series that stars the superhero. The cast includes Garfield as Peter Parker and his alter ego, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The film will portray Parker as his super powers are evolving in high school.

The film's development began simultaneously with Sony announcing the cancellation of Spider-Man 4. Opting for a reboot with the same production team rather than another sequel, the studio announced a July 2012 release date for what was now titled The Amazing Spider-Man. James Vanderbilt was hired to write the script while Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves helped fine-tune the script. Filming started in December 2010 in Los Angeles before moving to New York City with the help of RED Epic camera. The film entered post-production in April 2011.

Sony Entertainment has focused its marketing campaign with a promotional website with released images, 2 theatrical trailers, a prologue screening in certain cities and a video game tie-in being developed by Beenox among other products. The Amazing Spider-Man is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012. A sequel of the film is being planned for release in 2014 with James Vanderbilt hired to again write the screenplay.

I love electro, goblin and kraven theyre all great and have great potential to be done right! This film is looking amazing I'm so excited about it like a little kid on Christmas eve aha bring on a more evil and twisted minded goblin (not saying I didn't like the first one but I want a new goblin with a more twisted split personality)

I think Mysterio should be included in this series. And maybe one of them should be animal based. I.e. Kraven hunting Lizard, Spidey, Rhino, Scorpion etc. Rhino and Scorpion could be introduced together as bank robbers who have been experimented on by Oscorp.

I'm hoping to see a cinematic version of the sinister six in the last movie. I think they could do it. Maybe TASM4 or something. Introduce us to all the villains and then the last one, Goblin gets them all together.

GREEN GOBLIN SHOULD GO THROUGH A PHYSICAL JECKLE AND HYDE CHANGE THAT WAY YOU COULD MAKE HIM LOOK DEAD ON AS THE COMICBOOK. How could green goblin possibly look like that? fair enough if this was a world where spideys expressions were seen through his mask but his is static so why should goblins be so expressive with normal facial movements?

ive always said ELECTRO is in my top 5 granted he would be number 5 but he IS one of top 5 favs lol. i always said his first appearance (which is the oldest comic i own) has always been an iconic cover!

Morbius as the sympathetic villain. Kraven comes to town to hunt Morbius then he sets his sights on the biggest prey (spidey). bada beep. bada boop. blockbuster.

I would like to see Kraven, but more so redo Venom and then bring out Carnage. Venom tortures Spider-man; unlike in Spider-man 3 where he was a little B!tch.

They shouldn't be afraid to use 2 villains in the next movie, spidey can most definitely handle it, and it would make for a much more intense story.

I would like to see Electro, Morbius, Shocker, Hobgoblin, Mysterio or Chameleon as the main villain and Norman Osborn as the side villain. Then in the third one he becomes Goblin.

I need a context to work with. How "evil" does the Lizard go? How much death and destruction will be shown in TASM would tell me what kind of tone a sequel would accompany. In some ways I want to see Green Goblin because Sony might as well do SOMETHING with their Norman Osborn, but even though Christoph Waltz WOULD be spectacular, Willem Dafoe will always be the best for me.

Screw it, go all out. Put the Sinister Six in there, told from their POV.

CHAMELEON can work b/c they can "fool" SPIDEY into thinking his Father IS STILL ALIVE. HE USES PARKER TO "PERFECT THE SERUM". eventually SPIDEY learns the truth and takes him down but "their" work can establish G.G for 3 NORMIE takes the serum from 2 with horrendous results lol G.G is born!

think about how epic the sinister six could be, it would be like the reverse avengers, instead of six heros, six villains so we know it can be done with that many on screen at once but it would be a classic underdog hero story instead of a group of heros joining up to beat 1 guy kinda deal, im not sayin, im just sayin !

He should be Norman Osborn´s rival who is sabotaging Osborn´s company.
Osborn who is unscrupulous as hell is forced to hire assassin Shocker or Chameleon maybe to take down Hobgoblin. The Assassin turns out to be treacherous and joins forces with Hobgoblin against Ossie. To takeover his company and his not so legal business (Cause they are creedy bastards).
Meanwhile Pete gets the part-time job from Daily Bugle, befriends with Harry Osborn, and is starting to get wind of being Spider-Man.
Then the shit storm starts and he is forced to intervene in the plans of Hobgoblin and the Assassin (maybe just because he thinks Osborn is good man or maybe because Gwen or Aunt May gets hurt or something).

they should introduce mj, harry, norman and build on norman on a few movies then make him green goblin, like the 3rd spider-man movie, then he kills gwen.. lol mj should come in the 2nd movie, they could have a love triangle or like their a group of friends peter, harry, mj and gwen, study group, lol
