I remember an old episode of the 90's Animated Spider-Man series that saw Spider-Men from a bunch of alternate universes team up. It was pure awesomeness. Sony, I'd like to see this happen before I die.

And as an added bonus. Here's Stan Lee ranting about prequels. And oddly enough, he seems to have forgot about his cameo in The Amazing Spider-Man. Go figure.

Running Time: 2 hrs 16 min
Release Date: July 3, 2012 (USA)
MPAA Rating: PG-13
Starring: Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Sally Field and Martin Sheen.
Directed by: Marc Webb
Written by: James Vanderbilt (initial screenplay),Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves (revised draft)

The Amazing Spider-Man is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Marc Webb, based on the comic book of the same name and starring Andrew Garfield as the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is the fourth Columbia Pictures film that portrays Spider-Man in film and is a reboot of the film series that stars the superhero. The cast includes Garfield as Peter Parker and his alter ego, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The film will portray Parker as his super powers are evolving in high school.

The film's development began simultaneously with Sony announcing the cancellation of Spider-Man 4. Opting for a reboot with the same production team rather than another sequel, the studio announced a July 2012 release date for what was now titled The Amazing Spider-Man. James Vanderbilt was hired to write the script while Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves helped fine-tune the script. Filming started in December 2010 in Los Angeles before moving to New York City with the help of RED Epic camera. The film entered post-production in April 2011.

Sony Entertainment has focused its marketing campaign with a promotional website with released images, 2 theatrical trailers, a prologue screening in certain cities and a video game tie-in being developed by Beenox among other products. The Amazing Spider-Man is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012. A sequel of the film is being planned for release in 2014 with James Vanderbilt hired to again write the screenplay.

RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/2/2012, 2:43 PM
The Stan Lee video was very funny. I'll be the first to start the petition, we need an Incredible Hulk Prequel! I want to see Bruce Banner that college years. Nothing but 2 hours of him reading books, film it on IMAX!
avengersftw - 7/2/2012, 2:45 PM
That was really good
REDSTORM - 7/2/2012, 2:45 PM
Well, I like the Raimi costume more, but to each his/her own.
TheSkywalkingKnight - 7/2/2012, 2:46 PM
RidiculousFanBoyDemands: An hour and a half of IMAX footage!
REDSTORM - 7/2/2012, 2:47 PM
And the thing about prequels is that they are done only if there's a story to be told. There wouldn't be a story to tell for a Hulk prequel...
Optimus83 - 7/2/2012, 2:47 PM
¡¡¡Good Team-Up!!!. ...¡¡¡GREEN GOBLIN/NORMAN OSBORN FOR THE SEQUEL OF AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!!!. ...¡¡¡NOW!!!
REDSTORM - 7/2/2012, 2:48 PM
Haha @Fanboy & Irish. IMAX would be great! Then we could actually read the book he's reading along with him.
TheSkywalkingKnight - 7/2/2012, 2:51 PM
REDSTORM: See EVERY single line of Bruce's hair in stunning IMAX!!!

Save a bunch of snot nosed brats, or your fugly, annoying, whiney girlfriend? How about neither, just drop'em both Gobbie and let's go grab a beer and a slice.
BIGBMH - 7/2/2012, 2:58 PM
Very well done! I've been thinking about the coincidence of both films featuring a night time bridge scene. would have never thought to put them together like that.
DrDoom - 7/2/2012, 2:59 PM
Meh. Decent editing I suppose.

But jeez, the new costume is atrocious.
Joker08 - 7/2/2012, 2:59 PM
I really hope Tobey shows up to the TASM premier wearing his costume. Would that be in bad taste?
deadpoolbeatsall - 7/2/2012, 3:00 PM
I guess that's why he wasn't in First Class
LucasMend - 7/2/2012, 3:02 PM
Garfield spider-man must be like, who the hell is that red hair chick?
RocketMadnessBoss - 7/2/2012, 3:09 PM
..........

"Put on the mask, it'll make you strong."

Oh my God, are people actually taking this movie seriously? I regret watching this fanmade video because I had to suffer through the bits of ASM, no matter how good the editing is.
webslinger2099 - 7/2/2012, 3:09 PM

BenderDickCumPatch - 7/2/2012, 4:29 PM
That was all kind of awesome.
SpeedyX10 - 7/2/2012, 5:27 PM

Stan Lee is [frick]ing BOSS!!!
googleplex - 7/2/2012, 5:44 PM
@rocketmadnessboss, peter was just trying to get the kid to climb up because he was probably petrified. did you think this movie had a mask that gave spiderman his powers?
CoolantTech - 7/2/2012, 6:13 PM
Shit Raimi suit, its just a giant spandex with a glued on metellic covered web overlay- lazy piece of shit, Webb's costume looks infinately better and more realistic with sewn in black webbing like in the comics
and a more contemporary shiny design that just works like hell in the film not to mention actual web-shooters.

Andrew Garfield Spidey: Who's that outdated mutant [frick]er, with his cum shooting arms.
Mr2099 - 7/2/2012, 7:56 PM
This kinda looks like that 616/Ultimate crossover Spider-Men.
jawz270589 - 7/2/2012, 8:22 PM
RocketMadnessBoss: "Put on the mask, it'll make you strong."
This is the best line I've heard from Peter...
Does it touch your 'kid-side' inside you? When you were a kid, wearing that superhero's mask, you felt stronger..
Peter needed that kid to be stronger to climb up in that scene.. So he gave motivation for the kid by giving him his mask..
Bark4Soul - 7/2/2012, 8:22 PM
@R3Animator - New costume is stupid, the movie is just updated so of course it looks "better"
thewolfx - 7/2/2012, 8:37 PM
CoolantTek = blind and dumb

that is all
hope420 - 7/2/2012, 9:53 PM
I just hope we get better Green Goblin suit in future installments.
SuperSomething616 - 7/3/2012, 2:48 AM
The new suit does look better on screen!!!
TesDaGreat - 7/3/2012, 6:05 AM
Kingpin should be in this trilogy! I hope!
TesDaGreat - 7/3/2012, 6:05 AM
Odin - 7/3/2012, 6:49 AM
It's like Peter Parker and Ben Reilly working together.
Bodwulf - 7/3/2012, 10:42 AM
"Put on the mask, it'll make you strong."
But beware! Taking it off will make fanboys piss and moan.
googleplex - 7/4/2012, 6:12 AM
to me the costume is just based on preference. i personally don't care. they both seem fine. but i do admire what the movie is going with with this costume. you see even stan lee admitted that the one problem with the costume is that there's no way a kid would be able to make that so what they did was factor in the kind of materials peter could have available, like sunglass lenses for the eyes. may still be impossible for peter to make but at least they're trying but not to the point where he just buys in at spencer's.
SpeedyX10 - 7/4/2012, 11:50 AM
@VIRILEMAN He was talking about Prometheus. That movie looks like crap. What does it have to do with "Aliens"?
