The first teaser for The Wolverine was originally thought to be playing in front of A Good Day to Die Hard but director James Mangold debunked that notion over the weekend. Now, there's a new report which states that the first teaser for 20th Century Fox's The Wolverine will be playing in front of G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The film hits U.S. theaters on March 29th which coincides with the below tweet from Mangold. More details as we have them.

But this isn't Logan's first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun or his first encounter with the Yashida clan. Based on a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) and Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Total Recall )and the comic book by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont.

If you say so Mangold..
LMB10 - 2/11/2013, 1:45 PM
Eh, still least anticipated CBM of the year for me, but still. Hopefully the teaser can change my mind.

X-Men First Class didn't have a trailer until February and the film came out in June. The first trailer for Wolverine comes out in March while the movie comes out in July. So it kinda lines up with the amount of time First Class marketed the film.

The Wolverine is my second most anticipated superhero movie this year behind Man of Steel but way ahead of Thor 2 and Kick-Ass 2

I came here because someone wasn't excited at all for Iron Man 3, lol
Spideyguy94 - 2/11/2013, 2:04 PM
@LEVITIKUZ Yeah but there are always the ones who get there too late......
Mrcool210 - 2/11/2013, 2:05 PM
if they are delaying the first trailer this long they probably don't have a lot of faith in the movie
shiverman20 - 2/11/2013, 2:07 PM
Before people spend money on GI Joe, they should probably told that The Wolverine trailer will be online in HD around the same time anyway
Tony93 - 2/11/2013, 2:10 PM
i'll wait to read reviews of gi joe
Marqy47 - 2/11/2013, 2:11 PM

dezdigi - 2/11/2013, 2:11 PM
I wanna see a costume, bitches!!!
HBarnill - 2/11/2013, 2:12 PM
People, people, this is the same guy who wrote and directed Reese Witherspoon's phenomenal, Oscar-winning performance in Walk The Line. I'm sure Mangold is going to give us something extraordinary. Not to mention me got Stallone to actually act in Cop Land.
HBarnill - 2/11/2013, 2:13 PM
*he
luckylu - 2/11/2013, 2:14 PM
costume and mask or ill have to skip this
Greengo - 2/11/2013, 2:16 PM
This better be good!
Greengo - 2/11/2013, 2:20 PM
Yeah the only way I'm watching GI JOE is if I sneak in the theater. I'm not paying for that shit. I want to discourage studios pulling stunts like this in the future.

I'll even buy a ticket to another movie if I can't sneak in.
bayouboyz - 2/11/2013, 2:20 PM
They moved the trailer from a R rated movie to a PG-13 movie. I don't think The Wolverine will be rated R. Look at The Last Exorcism Part 2. I read articles about how the studio was going for a R rating, yet when I saw a commercial for it the other day, it was PG-13.
Stumblin - 2/11/2013, 2:22 PM
Still, I haven't really seen or heard anything to really make me think this will be the Wolverine movie fans have wanted. My guess is it'll be yet another watered down plot, shallow acting with some fight scenes.

I hope I'm wrong, but I wont be seeing this in the theater unless I read a review from a respectable (whom I respect personally) critic that gives it the thumbs up.
Kevinwillpeabodyproperties - 2/11/2013, 2:31 PM
Why isn't anyone concerned this is happening so late...... I mean, this is like reallyyyyyyyyy late.

I'm more worried about a movie I was already worried about.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Kevinwillpeabodyproperties - 2/11/2013, 2:32 PM
And no the coolest person is the dude hosting the rager. And right now marvel owns the frat house
95 - 2/11/2013, 2:39 PM
Called it yesterday....
But that's not a surprise.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 2/11/2013, 2:42 PM
Would love it to be R , But i bet they will cut it down to 14a
marvel54 - 2/11/2013, 2:43 PM
how do you save a picture here
jessepostal - 2/11/2013, 2:51 PM
Majority of movie goers, and non comic fans wouldn't notice the trailers until a month before it comes out anyway, when its in heavy rotation. Another month isn't going to hurt it. Every comic fan knows its coming out. Some of you act like a bunch of pregos.
MBZ1993 - 2/11/2013, 3:00 PM
aint the trailer gonna out tomorrow online?
Jollem - 2/11/2013, 3:04 PM
meh, helmet or i'll skip thor, scale-mail or i'll skip cap 2, mature adult or i'll skip iron man 3

sarcasm aside, can't wait for wolverine!
marvel72 - 2/11/2013, 3:08 PM
i personally can't see it being r-rated maybe they'll release two versions for the blu-ray release.

they'll want to make as much money from this as possible.
TheBeard - 2/11/2013, 3:08 PM
MPAA Rating: R (rumored)--< Please let that be true.
SpideySam - 2/11/2013, 3:17 PM
@MBZ1993

Exactly what I've been thinking while reading this whole thread!!! I've been waiting and waiting for tomorrow (the 12th) as they said a coupla weeks back that's when the trailer would debut!!

MBZ1993 - 2/11/2013, 3:28 PM
@spideysam

SpideySam - 2/11/2013, 3:34 PM
@MBZ1993

lol maybe it's just a red herring? Devised to surprise us tomorrow?!

Man I hope so. Maybe we'll get a silhouette of the cowl aswell

Probably expecting too much now aren't I.....
0bstreperous - 2/11/2013, 3:51 PM
I will be flabbergasted literally if this movie is good but I will walk out if its bad
0bstreperous - 2/11/2013, 3:52 PM
I think Jack Mans cool but if they had something by now...
NovaCorpsFan - 2/11/2013, 3:55 PM
The trailer is gonna show a crap load of footage then he'll open a chest at the end and take out the contents. It'll look like he's holding some sort of fabric, then he'll pull it over his face and the screen blacks out... Who else would shit their pants at that?
