Jennifer Lawrence Trades Bodypaint For Bodysuit In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Instead of going through the painstaking bodypaint process, Jennifer Lawrence will wear a bodysuit in Byran Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. She also reveals that she does have a script in hand and that filming starts "May-ish".

Jennifer Lawrence is coming off a Cinderella Awards Season and is preparing to head straight into filming on Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past in the coming months. In X-Men: First Class, Lawrence had to endure hours of bodypaint for the character of Mystique however that doesn't look to be the case this time around.

"I'm so excited because I'm going to wear a body suit," Jennifer Lawrence told E!. "It will be from neck down so it will cut out time and the blisters."

Will we see a similar technique for Nicholas Hoult's Beast who also had to endure hours in the makeup chair? Hopefully, the SFX department can match the aesthetic of paint in the bodysuit's texture. Lawrence went on to reveal that unlike some of her other co-stars, she does have a script in hand that she's currently reading and that filming is expected to kick-off "May-ish".

Rebecca Romijn endured bodypaint for three films and Jennifer Lawrence just once.

she's such an awesome gorgeous funny person.
marvel72 - 2/28/2013, 4:01 PM
i still don't know why we had a naked mystique in four movies with lumps all over her body.

why couldn't she of had blue skin & clothes like mystique does in the comics,i've seen cosplayers create better costumes then what fox came up with.
phoenixforce9 - 2/28/2013, 4:01 PM
Rebecca Romijn was still the better mystique. jennifer was kinda bad in X-men. she was a little robotic there
Chloefornication - 2/28/2013, 4:03 PM
I want to see more of that chemistry between her and magneto. I fap to that.
JerBear - 2/28/2013, 4:03 PM
Jennifer Lawrence is so awesome... yet so wrong for the part of Mystique. WTF is wrong with the casting people at FOX? January Jones as Emma Frost? Nicholas Hault as Hank McCoy? Halle Berry as Storm? It's like they don't even read the comics.
marvel72 - 2/28/2013, 4:06 PM
@ jerbear

anna paquin as rogue
ray park as toad
vinny jones as the juggernaunt
DioFoRio - 2/28/2013, 4:08 PM
they really screwed the pooch with the whole add scales and shit to make her mutant like. Just have her be blue...no lumps and lesions. She's too fine to uglify...or as some of the "cool" kids are saying Shaleine Woodify.
xXkryptoniteXx - 2/28/2013, 4:09 PM
I have a bad feeling about this.

@ dioforio

hahahahaha you funny f*cker!
Facade - 2/28/2013, 4:11 PM
@DioFoRio...lmfao

How about they keep the blue paint off her and just have her walk around nude?
RorMachine - 2/28/2013, 4:15 PM
If it achieves the same look, why not. And JL is pretty much the perfect woman imo.
GoILL - 2/28/2013, 4:18 PM
^She is pretty damn awesome.
xXkryptoniteXx - 2/28/2013, 4:21 PM
@deathmetalbrain

Because in live motion camera it will be just to difficult to film, look to fake and ugly as the character moves around. They even said that in one of the interviews. (I just can't remember where.) I thought nightcrawler looked amazing and added more to the character.
DioFoRio - 2/28/2013, 4:21 PM
@Ror you sound like such a misogynist with that comment.
DioFoRio - 2/28/2013, 4:26 PM
good question 79...I remember the blue and elf part but hairy sounds familiar too. Imagine the plumbing work that has to be done at the Xavier Mansion.
95 - 2/28/2013, 4:26 PM
Oh good, I'm not the only one who hates the scales. I have only seen Miss Lawrence in First Class and Hunger Games, not her Oscar roles, so I don't get the hype at the moment. And I don't like how they painted her for Mystique.

Since a couple people mentioned Juggernaut, do you guys things the next Juggernaut interpretation should be CG like the Hulk?
95 - 2/28/2013, 4:28 PM
Do you guys think*

That he is.

she's so damn squinty.
prob needs glasses most of the time.
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 2/28/2013, 4:40 PM
She was hot in First Class but from looking at her now she seems to be slimming up. That makes me sad.
DioFoRio - 2/28/2013, 4:40 PM
lol @79

@3D I think that would be the way to go. And as seeing the suit and helmet would be armor as apposed to flesh , it would be easier to make look realistic or at least not out of place.
DioFoRio - 2/28/2013, 4:41 PM
Me too Hope420 It was bound to happen...[frick]ing hollywood...ruining girls and women for years
RPD - 2/28/2013, 4:42 PM
First Mystique was the best. I don't mean First Class, either...
gambgel - 2/28/2013, 4:54 PM
this was unexpected. Seems like Jennifer's agent made some serious calls, lol

I just hope it looks "real", will be a bit hard, I think
DJRock93 - 2/28/2013, 5:02 PM
No :(
DurtyTalynt - 2/28/2013, 5:03 PM
If they were really doing this story then she wouldnt even be involved. So tired of these movies.
LFANCH - 2/28/2013, 5:04 PM
This makes me sad...

I do like Jennifer Lawrence as an actress and from what I can tell as a person. She seems like a responsible person.
XavierLehnsherr - 2/28/2013, 5:09 PM
She will slide into it easier covered in my semen.
thewolfx - 2/28/2013, 5:13 PM
Her forehead made mystique look like she has downs.

I hope they tone down the scales and make mystique sexy again
BackwardGalaxy - 2/28/2013, 5:23 PM
Rebecca Romjin may not have an Oscar, but she was def the better Mystique.
InFamouslyCool - 2/28/2013, 5:27 PM
she was horrible and extremely ugly
marvel72 - 2/28/2013, 5:30 PM
this is how mystique & rogue should of looked in the x-men movies.

TheSuperguy - 2/28/2013, 5:32 PM
I'm sorry, but I really think she was miscast as Mystique in FC. She just had no character and I really think she was not lethal at all. I know she was portraying young Mystique, but you should have at least seen a hint of what she would become, in my opinion.
yourhairsmellsnice06 - 2/28/2013, 5:43 PM
thank god i dunno if i could handle seeing her love handles jiggle for another movie
TheSoulEater - 2/28/2013, 5:55 PM
Love her.....
storyteller - 2/28/2013, 5:57 PM
The issue with just painting a person blue like Mystique and Nightcrawler is that then they just look blue. Works fine in the comics because they can cheat but in real life it just looks like a member of the blue man group.

Also with Mystique the scales add a sense of how her powers work and of course you feel wrong to be attracted to her. It really demonstrated how sexy the actress was because she made it work. Another thing is that a blue hot woman isn't exactly someone your going to be scared of. Mystique isn't accepted in her natural state. In the comics........everyone wants to bang her.

Texture makes a helluva lot of difference. Being clean looks pretty fake.

Also Beast tends to wear clothes a lot. So he's not exactly being dressed head to toe in makeup.
