DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF GODS Tv Spot

The first tv spot for the all new, in-continuity (sorry Dragon Ball GT) Dragon Ball Z film, Battle of Gods touts the IMAX experience. The film opens March 30th and will be the first film screened at IMAX Digital Theaters in Japan.

The film, unlike Dragon Ball GT, will be part of the official Dragon Ball canon, with creator Akira Toriyama supplying direction on the story. The film will be set between chapter 517 and 518 of the manga, often called 'The Lost Decade' due to the 10 year time-jump following the battle with Majin Boo.

SYNOPSIS: The events of Battle of Gods takes place several years after the battle with Majin Boo, which determined the fate of the entire universe. Wiss and Bills, the God of Destruction, are tasked with maintaining some sort of balance in the universe. After awakening from a long slumber, Bills is visited by Wiss and he learns that the galactic overlord Freeza has been defeated by a Super Saiyan from the North Quadrant of the universe named Goku, who is also a former student of the North Kaiō. Bills tracks down this warrior, Goku on Kaiō-sama's planet with his ally, the mysterious Wiss and challenges him to a battle. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods explodes with dynamic action from there, featuring character such as Kuririn, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and more of the Z Warriors.

Do videos keep getting taken down by YouTube or is there a problem with my internet/computer? Because every time I try to watch a video on CBM now, it is unavailable.
Anyways though, sounds like a good movie for DBZ fans, glad to see it kept going!

I ran the simulation in my head. Goku wins hands down. Even used Batmans cape to wipe his ass after shitting on Superman.

As 53 said my mind has been blown for quite sometime now. I'm hoping that this resurgence of DBZ stuff means we are close to getting a series that will erase GT from our memories. Fingers crossed!!

People forget the main thing with sayians that was said in season 1 of dragonball z during the vegeta fight. Sayians near death experiences = more bad ass the next time they fight. Bigger and Badder. Doy!

give me hugh jackman for goku...and start fresh with the new DBZ saga n go in order make that shit a series like SAW or harry potter and make it 6 films

we do not need anymore big studio dragon ball films unless it's animated.

i'd sooner take a dragon ball indie film, which would give us more of a dragon ball that we want than the big studios would.

This was always the problem with DBZ. The timeline moved so quickly after the cell saga. Gohan went from like 12 to 18 in a couple of episodes. Definitely why they have to go back now.

That said, FREAKIN AWESOME. DBZ is back!

Let's be realistic even if Superman got lucky and beat Goku 7 dragonballs and he's wished back to life, knowing his mistakes and how to defeat Superman.

Lol. I'm suprised people are only mentioning GT. I'm pretty sure that none of the movies are actually in-continuity. In fact, most of them could not have actually happened because they would be happening at the same time as events in the show. But who cares?

Also, while you can argue with their numbers, I think screwattack had it right with Superman beating Goku. Their arguement at the end that Superman has no limits while Goku is all about surpassing his, means that only one will actually hit a limit. So Goku loses.

I did like how their fight blew up the Earth though.

idk y people hate gt so much i liked it and it is (and i hate using this word) canon it wasnt based on manga but akira toriyami did do character designs and initial stories
I guess if this movie jump starts a new series then GT could be considered an alternate future
