Not news per se but something to make all the Marvel fans jealous. To be a fly on the wall during that conversation...

James Gunn stays in the spotlight in this edition of Micro-News, posting a pic of face-to-face meeting with a raccoon. Not the raccoon we need right now but maybe the one...that joke is getting tired.

More Man of Steel talk, this time MTV has a chat with director Zack Snyder. Says he was asked to helm the Superman reboot after 300 not Watchmen as most assume.

Collider has an interview with The Raid (one of the best damn action movies I've ever seen) sequel director Gareth Evans who promises more of the same jaw-dropping action.

Evans: "We’re still shooting it right now. We’re about a month and a half away from finishing the production of it. It’s got the same kind of action beats in terms of the style of the action, but our approach this time is to go way more cinematic with it. We’re expanding the universe out. We’re taking the story out of that little claustrophobic setting and putting it out into the streets and into the high end gangsters in Jakarta. It’s a lot bigger in scope. So fingers crossed people will kind of come along for the ride again. We should be finished with post by the end of this year and then maybe early next year we can have the release.”

I come from East Texas, the Piney Woods, and I've Raccoons there that if you ran up on them in the dark, they'd rip you up as bad as a big dog, no joke.
DestroyallTrolls - 6/6/2013, 3:35 PM

ROCEKT RACOON!
DestroyallTrolls - 6/6/2013, 3:38 PM
I love Rocket, but im scared they're gona get some tired comedian to do his voice, Sandler, Carrey, or somebody. Kindav wish they'd get a legit voice actor and yeah, some people will say they NEED a big name voice for this character, but, with all the other big names I don't really agree...I'd like Andy Serkis if they're gonna do mo-cap, he's the man at that but I believe that rumors already come and gone.
ShogunNevets - 6/6/2013, 3:41 PM
Jason Statham to voice Rocket Raccoon!!!! Ahha I like how everyone ignored everything else and only talked about the raccoon
Giznad - 6/6/2013, 3:42 PM
it sounds like the voice could be someone from an Edgar Wright movie...
ShogunNevets - 6/6/2013, 3:42 PM
And no mo cap, like it's a racoon, who's gonna be that small for mo cap?
ShogunNevets - 6/6/2013, 3:43 PM
Just make a good cgi raccoon that can jump around and shoot
CaptainObvious - 6/6/2013, 3:45 PM
@CampBlood- They can be. Their mischievous behavior comes from their curiousity, which in turn makes them more intelligent.
ShogunNevets - 6/6/2013, 3:53 PM
Actually, hear me out, what if they use Hugh Jackman? Like with his regular Australian accent. YES YES YES, its a must.
Dminic - 6/6/2013, 3:55 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79

I think so too. And I think they will use the same technology they used for the tiger in LIFE of PI... Maybe even get the same dude who did that CGI work..
Dminic - 6/6/2013, 4:13 PM
@MARVELPSYCHO79
Have you read what I wrote?? Make him as real life Racoon looking as possible, like how they did with the Tiger from LIFE of PI(were they got an oscar for)
madhatter2332 - 6/6/2013, 4:25 PM
they need somebody who has (or can imitate) a Liverpool accent. it is what rocket's creators had in mind. that guy from "Across the Universe" who was up for the role of star-lord. he would work, maybe.
phoenixforce9 - 6/6/2013, 5:00 PM
