VIDEO GAMES: Sony Announces 3.4 Million Unit Sales For 'THE LAST OF US'
Sony Computer Entertainment revealed a staggering sales total today for their smash hit video game "The Last of Us." Have you played the PlayStation 3 exclusive title yet? What did you think?
In roughly three weeks since its release, the action-adventure video game "The Last of Us" has sold over 3.4 million copies, a feat that surely pleases game developer Naughty Dog. An impressive number given the short time frame and the fact that it's a PS3 exclusive title. Said Sony Computer Entertainment President Shuhei Yoshida in an official statement, "These sales figures are a testament to the blockbuster quality of 'The Last of Us.'" He continued, "The teams at Naughty Dog are true visionaries and their storytelling capabilities are second to none, this title is an undisputed demonstration of that. SCE continues to be committed to delivering unique gameplay experiences that redefine the interactive entertainment industry and 'The Last of Us' is a perfect example."
With tremendous critical acclaim, chiefly centered around the game's story, would you like to see a film adaptation of "The Last of Us?" If so, who should play Joel and Ellie?

"The Last of Us is a survival horror action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The player takes control of Joel (Troy Baker) who is trekking across a post-apocalyptic United States in 2033, in order to escort the young Ellie (Ashley Johnson) to a friendly resistance group, the Fireflies. The player defends the characters against zombie-like creatures infected with the Cordyceps fungus, as well as hostile humans such as bandits and cannibals.
The Last of Us received overwhelmingly positive reviews from most major critics, with over 50 perfect scores from gaming publications. The game holds a score of 95 on Metacritic."
