I like the theory of this Coulson being a life model decoy while the real Coulson was killed off in the Avengers.
Marqy47 - 7/16/2013, 1:13 PM

So who exactly will be the show runner after the pilot? Joss's brother?
MarkJulian - 7/16/2013, 1:20 PM
@Dragonpiece Si, along with his wife, Maurissa Tancharoen. They also ran Dollhouse.

Having a hard time getting excited for this. It's like "Come watch the show based on the janitors of the Marvel universe!"
fettastic - 7/16/2013, 1:22 PM
I would FAAAAAR prefer a show based on a single hero, like Moon Knight for example.
TheManFromMars - 7/16/2013, 1:22 PM
Gonna wait for the DVD Boxset to watch it all in one sitting.

Never posted here before....but am I the only one who finds the time slot interesting? Tuesday nights at 8 going up against NCIS? Tough to be put up against the number 1 watched show on TV. Interesting choice.
Marqy47 - 7/16/2013, 1:28 PM

JGAR - 7/16/2013, 1:30 PM
@fettastic

Or a show based on DAREDEVIL, and maybe even THE PUNISHER.
TheSisko - 7/16/2013, 1:32 PM
NCIS will take a nose dive this year between SHIELD and losing Pablo de Cote the show is in major trouble.
hush - 7/16/2013, 1:34 PM
I'm going to give it a go.

Any Marvel fan boys out there - are any of the character names from the comics?
hush - 7/16/2013, 1:35 PM
Although I still think Heroes for Hire would make an awesome series.
SugarYumYum - 7/16/2013, 1:35 PM
@mike: That is interesting. Somehow I feel like the competition would actually help them though.
TheAbaryMan369 - 7/16/2013, 1:35 PM
Yes! Can't wait.

6 days before my birthday. Nice.
TheAbomination - 7/16/2013, 1:37 PM
NCIS provides major competition. They're coming off their 10th season and had some really strong ratings.
Grodd87 - 7/16/2013, 1:39 PM
NCIS is one of my favorite show but mainly see reruns on USA. Don't really watch new episodes.
Ocelot - 7/16/2013, 1:41 PM
Heroes for hire would have been a good tv show to do, you include the likes of Punisher, Daredevil, jessica jones and a bunch of other street character that we'll most likely never see in the films along with Cage and The Fist of course. Trying to look foward to this show(Agents of Shield) but it just looks meh, nevertheless I'll still give it a try.
GoILL - 7/16/2013, 1:46 PM
Hopefully this will be good but like others have already said I am not that hyped to see this.
EpitomeofAwesome - 7/16/2013, 1:51 PM
Isn't that the day the IM3 BluRay comes out?
ABLEE337 - 7/16/2013, 1:53 PM
I love NCIS, so I'll have to watch both.
ruadh - 7/16/2013, 1:53 PM
Finally something to watch Tuesday nights.

Though I'll probably just DVR it and watch it Wednesday or so.
ElDarkside - 7/16/2013, 2:05 PM
Sweet. I don't watch anything on Tuesdays so this is perfect for me.

As for the coulson conundrum... I think I read on here that he doesn't even know that the avengers thought he was dead. And all his team have no idea about the ruse that nick fury and Maria hill pulled to give the avengers "something to avenge".

I don't really like that explanation but it will definitely make for some interesting plot points if/when the avengers find out they were lied to.

beane2099 - 7/16/2013, 2:05 PM
Hey, did you all know Evil Dead was coming out on Bluray?
DylansMyDog - 7/16/2013, 2:27 PM
@beane2099 The Evil Dead has been available on dvd and bluray for years...
Durf - 7/16/2013, 2:31 PM
Sweet! Can't wait
TheFascinatingMan - 7/16/2013, 3:24 PM
I'm pretty sure NCIS will end this season because Cote De Pablo is leaving.
imaginejim - 7/16/2013, 5:53 PM
ElDarkside: if you watch the trailer, the one agent says something like, "I'm clearance level 6 and I know that Agent Coulson died during the attack on New York." Coulson then walks in and says, "Welcome to level 7."
Coulson is well aware that many people think he is dead which is why only those with clearance level 7 know the truth.
seven43861 - 7/16/2013, 7:29 PM
Sorry I'll be busy playing GTA V
PeterParker1991 - 7/17/2013, 12:01 PM
Whedon better have an explanation for bringing Coulson back. His death served a purpose. Bringing him back... not so much
