Bradley Cooper Hesitant To Play The Flash

After losing out to Ryan Reynolds for the lead role in The Green Lantern, Bradley Cooper expresses his reservations about playing The Scarlet Speedster on the big screen.

Many Fan-Fics have Bradley Cooper as the perfect person to play The Flash. In a recent interview while promoting his film Limitless, Cooper wasn't as optimistic as most fanboys.





When asked about The Flash and if he would be interested in a superhero role he responded:

“Well I auditioned for the The Green Lantern and didn’t get it so I’m reluctant to put on the cape again."

well it's a superhero many superheroes are associated with capes.

but i dont see him as Barry Allen or Wally West....dont know why so many pull for him as The Flash

He could probably do a good Flash, he was not fit for Green Lantern. Patrick Wilson is absolutely the best fit for Barry Allen!

he'd be an awesome barry allen and he's my choice for the flash. back when i saw the hangover the next day i heard he was going to be hal in gl i was so happy then ryan was cast and i was still pretty happy but think of a green lantern flash crossover movie with ryan reynolds as hal and bradley as barry i just think that would be an amazing movie.

Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper are almost the exact same person.And there is no way I could see him as Barry.At least not the Barry from the comics.

Cooper is a cocky smartass and that's the role he plays all the time.That doesn't work for Barry.I would also have a hard time seeing him in a serious role.

he definitely would have been a better pic for Green lantern than Ryan Reynolds, who consequently would have been a perfect flash. in all truth Reynolds strikes me as more of the "frank miller styled" Hal Jordan( a "pure" dumb ass)

I wouldn't want him to play Flash, he just does not have the look. Flash needs to be fresh faced with a runner's physique, in addition to the personality traits.

I'll probably get shit for it, but I really think that Michael Rosenbaum should be screen tested for the role. His JLU Flash is my default Flash, he prefers comedic roles when on screen, and he does sort of have the face for it when he's got hair.

[frick] this dude. He want's to be a little fruit bat because he didn't get another role, and blow off a role that would escalate his career? WTF? Any cast director reading this should NEVER offer him any role of this kind again. After this next film of his about the magic pill shit, his status will start to decline. Superhero roles actually boost actors up, even when the film is mediocre. This dude is a jackass. He better pray for A-TEAM 2. And if by some chance he does get Flash, I'm not seeing it after reading this ungreatful big baby shit he said. [frick]'em.

He is more Hal Jordan than Reynolds. And Reynolds is gonna be just like Flash got the ring. Reynolds does not act he just shows up and does his thing. Like Jack Black or Seth Rogan or Kevin James or etc etc etc.

The Flash is such difficult character to adapt. Especially his origin, I hope they got a killer script.
