Is there a reason why we're seeing Jonathan Kent at his son's wedding. Unless it's his ghost, the Earth-2 counterpart or somehow without freaking out the real deal. Anyway, this show whether you love it or hate it, has been on for 10 straight years. How many shows in this day and age dealing with comic heroes can measure up to that? I glad that it's ending thought. It's done enough.

I think Jor-El will bring Jonathan back for as long as his power allows him, in past seasons he's done some pretty powerful things from beyond the grave.

Okay, so apparently Johnathan Kent is going to actually be at the wedding and the crowd isn't freaking out? Everyone knows he's dead, they all went to his funeral. I hope he's just a ghost cuz that just wouldn't make sense.

At least they aren't crashing the wedding! He better be in the suit for the final hour... okay, I won't ask too much at least the final half hour!!

They have to show Tom in the suit in the finale. Theyv
been building up towards the suit for so long and more
than ever in this final season - so much that all the
anticipation built up has to be a means to an end.
I think the underlining point of smallville is not just
about the experiences of young clark kent but just as
much about the young man that becomes Superman. Plus, imagine the wave of disapointment that would ripple across the entire country if we don't see Welling wear
the suit in the finale. That would just feel like 10
years wasted. So i'm putting my bet on we will see Tom
become Superman & wear the suit.

@GUNSMITH other then the spit curl and the look of the suite that is probably gunna be our only shot of him in the tights and it'll be right before the credits :(

But the episode will have 2 hours straight, or you will have 2 parts divided by 13 and 20 of May???

Very interesting to see Jonathan Kent. I see there are some wedding scenes. I still don't think they will get married, because Darkseid is coming, or at least I hope lol.

Clark doesn't wear his glasses to the wedding?

Phone calls from Lois's friends and family a day after the wedding when Clark reveals himself to the world saying "Didn't you get married to Superman?"

Ok, is Jonathan really there or a ghost Clark is seeing? Or did the Jonathan from the Mirror Box world?
Knightfall1103
Knightfall1103 - 5/5/2011, 11:46 AM
I think the wedding might happen at the end of the second part and the red light shining on clark, martha and lois might be an explosion which clark must go put out and then we get the very dissapointing .2 seconds of clark in the suit we've been waiting 10 yrs for. I hope we dont have to freeze frame it to see the actual suit
blackcelebration
blackcelebration - 5/5/2011, 11:59 AM
I think this is a dream sequence (Maybe to begin the episode) because Jonathan and Martha are seated together. Clark sans the glasses. Maybe the red light is a warning by Jor-El that Clark still has to defeat something????
superdog
superdog - 5/5/2011, 12:02 PM
if you recall earlier in the season clark talked to his fathers "ghost"...although i think it was just his imagination/ inner monologue. therefore if you notice in the one picture the seat next to martha is empty, then later johnathen is there. i think it is just clark once again imagining his father is at his wedding, not an actual ghostly apparition that everyone can see.

Aww who cares, if its a good finale it will redeem the show. Smallville has never been consistently amazing, never, I watch it for those rare moments of awesome that they deliver some times. When they get it right they get it right.

Hope the jonathan ghost thing is explained because I stil am wondering about the ghost thing in lazarus

I like the way they are downplaying the suit in interviews.

It means we will either be surprised with some suit action or disappointed with some mediocrity.

They are only showing us a tiny bit of the finale and we know it's not all gonna be boring weddings cause stuff obviously goes wrong. It was written by the guy who wrote the episode where the dad died, so I hope it will be great.

And hey my interest in the last season of smallville, wasted or not, led me to this amazing site, so I am glad.

Because, at the end of the day, it´s still a TV show, nothing more. It´s not a comic, it´s not a big movie.
TheLight
TheLight - 5/6/2011, 8:08 AM
It's either the real Jonathan or the counterpart. There was a scene from the promo finale in the Smallville motif of letters showing the history of the show and in the "V" was the entire Kent family over the Luthors. This may be a clue to "Prophecy" where it's said that a legion ring may play some crucial part. Just a theory.

""Okay, so apparently Johnathan Kent is going to actually be at the wedding and the crowd isn't freaking out? Everyone knows he's dead, they all went to his funeral. I hope he's just a ghost cuz that just wouldn't make sense.""

Past season 5 of this show character writing and stories stopped making any sense at all :( and this is coming from a fan of the show that wishes it would have been better planned out. For one thing writers seem unable to have the on going story arc play a role in a more episodic basis, instead "darkseid" the villain of the season is not involved in the show for weeks at a time. And subplots with characters like Tess struggling with her luthor blood, or Oliver having an omega symbol is completely ignored until the writers are ready to randomly deal with it
