Good find, I think interesting is the right word, sounds like a lot to fit into one movie especially with some type of origin story probably thrown in there...

now i haven't seen all of her work but why is lindsay lohan even being considered for a role in such an important movie like Superman (let alone movies in general)?

for real though, is she a good actress?

Lindsay Lohan for Lana? Is Lana a coked-up, spray-tanned repeat offender in this version of Superman?

@NinjaCarm
a bit early for Doomsday don't you think?
I can't wait to see the modern day comicbook Lex Luthor on the big screen! (Returns wasn't it)

it might be alright, not sure about brainiac destroying krypton.

lohan should keep the f*ck away from this.

i hope this movie turns out good, its been over thirty years since the last decent live action superman.

That sounds [frick]ing awesome!!! except the Lohan part which I don't think that part is true. But the modern Krypton probably the one we see in the comics is great and Lexcorp is awesome too.

A note for the author of this post, regarding "and get a custom to their surroundings"

The phrase should be "get accustomed to their surroundings." Dude.

Meh. We don't need a "Superman Begins", do we? Please, no early/high school years in the first half, I'll get bored. I'm excited for 'Hawkman' though!

Sounds interesting. And what's wrong with Hamm as Jor El? I think he would make a great Jor El. We don't need someone to match Marlon Brando, this movie has nothing to do with the previous Superman's anyway.

oh my lord... they've got an amazing cast and they're remaking Superman II... I don't care how they spin it.

When are these Superman film makers going to learn... WE WANT TO SEE SUPERMAN FIGHT. Not Zod again... but Doomsday, or Darkseid (which would have been the greatest movie ... Apokalypse, New Genesis, Orion.. etc... CRAZY wicked movie), or even Mongul.

One day some film makers are going to come out of nowhere and get a go at this franchise and rip it. Up until now I thought these film makers were them, but I was dead wrong. They do NOT get it.

With such a rich mythology to the Superman storyline why the hell would they keep it on earth / krypton exclusively AGAIN?

The Kryptonian Technology on Kal-El's heritage has moved on back from its classical version. Maybe not the Classical version what we see ? Something Superman came from an alien world where its not too crystalline. Kal-El's father Jor-El is a real scientist to the entire community of Planet Krypton's civilization.

I don't know...this doesn't sound like a Superman movie to me. Having Zod and a Female who Hates Men getting it on to create a new line of Kryptonians (really seeing Michael Shannon as Zod is surreal enough).....secretly advancing Earths Technology as a plot element sounds like a great idea but not here. Plus the Lohan thing seems out of place since shes under house arrest and her troubled life is still in....trouble. I think this is a weak story, nothing what I read screams Superman, Zod would ABUSE the hell out of this power knowing he was stronger he would use it, not hide amongst the shadows....hes a general and a warrior, he would strike weak enemies and take over. If WB/DC allow them to more or less make a carbon copy of Superman 2 then they will be getting a ticket from me sadly
