Hot off the heels of making 55.1 million dollars at the box office this weekend, X-Men: First Class has a new TV home, FX. First Class joins the previous three X-Men movies as well as Spider-Man and Fantastic Four on the network.

Reports Deadline:

FX has added another No.1 box-office opener to its collection of film acquisitions. The cable network has closed a deal for the TV rights to X-Men: First Class, which opened at the top spot last weekend with $55.1 million. Last week, FX picked up Hangover II, which was the box-office champ the previous weekend. The acquisition of First Class, produced by sister studio Twentieth Century Fox, completes FX's X-Men collection. The network also has the first 3 films in the franchise.

No word yet on when the film might air on FX, but you can check out X-Men:First Class in theaters right now.

apparently first class has chance of topping the box office again this week end. Apparently Paramount are expecting Super 8 to do around 25 to 30 mill this week end, it should be interesting.

@Hellsing Super 8 doesn't have to make outstanding numbers to be a success. It was made for around 50 million dollars. Even if it only takes home 30 million this weekend in the States, it will easily be able to hit 100 million within two or three weeks worldwide. That means more original science fiction flicks from Abrams in the future.

@Ill i don't think i said any where that it had to make a huge amount of money and i don't think i said anything about it not being a success either just pointing out that x-men first class has chance at being top of the box office thats all. Anything JJ's involved is sure to be a success.

Wolverine will be on FX, not enough time has passed for it to be aired. They have the rights though, it's going to be there later this year.

@Hellsing I know you didn't buddy, I was just pointing that out to any other commenters. JJ has convinced me that he has the golden touch, anything he touches turns into a massive success.

Wait a minute, let me get this straight; the FOX FX channel that shows Fox CBM'S like the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and the entire X-MEN trilogy (just this weekend) are getting the rights to show the Fox CBM X-MEN First Class? That's impossible. I don't believe a word of that.
