well, I hope the movie makes a lot of money so that we can get those sequels... Hopefully people won't listen to the critics and go see for themselves.

I'm excited, I hope there'll be more GL movies, he's one of my favorite superheroes.

@Intruder It's not a reboot. The first arc of the new Justice League is a flashback and focuses on the origin of the Justice League. The arc after will take place in the present.

I hate to be the resident English Nazi but letting mistakes like this go on just perpetuates the problem, so...

Then vs. Than

Then is used as a time expression.

Examples:

I'll see you then.
I'll be at the party. We can speak then.

Note: It is not used in the form "different than" which is used for comparisons.

Than is used for comparisons.

Examples:

He's lived here longer than I have.
His skills are very different than mine.

If they are doing so, they better get their shit straight with GL first. Saw the movie, did NOT like it whatsoever.

Its not un-fixable. Make a compelling sequel, and then we'll see from there. Otherwise the launch of an expanded DC universe is dead on arrival.

I feel like GL showed exactly what I didn't want. It assumed that it'll have a sequel, so it felt like this entire movie was just taken for granted. It had no heart and soul or passion for the source material.

lmfao. I truly laughed when I read that.

@Geoff Johns

More than a trilogy? A trilogy for Hal Jordan, a trilogy for Guy Gardner, a trilogy of John Stewart, a trilogy for Kyle Rayner?

first of all, lemme agree to the ones who pointed out Geoff's way overrated talent. ever since he's written GL: Rebirth, i've been thinkin who did this guy do to get to where he is???

now knowing he's got a lot of say on the GL movie, no wonder the movie's been getting a lot of negative reviews. cuz, MAINLY, the idea of making PARALLAX an evil being "behind" Hal's fall from grace, who's been around supposedly from the beginning of GLC's lore, is just ridiculous. and to make it to look like the giant cloud-thingy like FF: RotSS's Galactus is just BEYOND stoopid.

seriously, someone's gotta clean house over at dc/wb and just change the current regime of Johns, Winnick and the other young hotshots. with the current direction dc's going, it's heading to disaster.

So, another relaunched Justice League book that excludes the most important and powerful character in their universe by just tossing him to the back burner. Really? Way to go Geoff Johns and Jim Lee - way to go. -_-

Can't wait til these guys get demoted. They're not where they belong.

And did he just say we were gonna get a 100 Bullets TV Show??

"Vertigo has a comic, 100 Bullets, which is a great story if you like crime comics, and it's going to be a great TV show."

So what if they wrote/drew stories that **you** don't personally like. But if the audience didn't like these...they'd stop getting hired.

And certainly, they'd stop getting promotion after promotion.

So maybe...just maybe...you should stop wishing they'd get fired simply because YOU don't like their work. I don't like Johns stuff from post-2008 myself...but that doesn't mean I want to see people lose their jobs. I try to demonstrate class, when/if I can.

Jeez jeez jeez, why all the hate on Johns??? So much of all the great things in the DC Universe have happened because of him in the last decade. And have you guys really seen the GL film yet? Because don't let the critics influence you, I honestly don't get why they're so negative - this film so doesn't deserve it. It was VERY accurate for the most part and really enjoyable. If you want to diss on something for straying from source material - talk about First Class. Goodness.

Just saw GL and I loved it! I really don't understand what ppl didn't like. CGI was generally very good, Reynolds was perfect, so was Mark Strong, and the constructs were fantastic! The story was very good, not Dark Knight good, but if that's what you're expecting, of course you're gonna be disappointed. Sure, it could have been even better (more kilowog!, more on Oa) but it was still great. At least it wasn't like Thor, where he spends half the movie without his powers. I put it at the same level as Iron Man 1. Maybe i'm just a conspiracy theorist but i really believe marvel has a few critics on their payroll to try to hurt GL's rep. Maybe they even have some of you, too!!

@n1ghtw1ng2832 ---WAY TO GO MAN! I LOVE SEEING POSTS LIKE THAT AGAINST ALL THESE JERKS TRYING TO BRING GL DOWN!!

The movie was awesome. Sure, with it being the MOST ANTICIPATED movie of the year, and with having so much hate from anti-DC peeps, it probably didn't live up to critic's expectations. I guess they wanted to go into the theaters, experience a mental orgasm comparable to a (heroin/cocaine/ecstacy etc) high and then come out of the theaters and suddenly know the all the mysteries of the universe through an epiphany....well, you're not gonna get that from ANY movie.

Well, that may be slightly overstating, but I had to bring it up to the level of hate I've seen. That being said, I'm glad there are many out there who enjoy the movie for what it is: A truly heroic origin story of one of the greatest heroes in the comic book universe. And with awesome special effects too!

Btw, I've still boycotted this site because of all the JERKS, I just happened to find this while searching for Geoff Johns interviews.
