Best Buy Offering Steelbook Edition Of Green Lantern

To go along with the October 14 release Best Buy will exclusively offer a steelbook edition of Martian Campbell's Summer comic book movie Green Lantern.

Thanks to a heads up from The Blog of Oa, Best But will be offering a Seelbook edition of Warner Brothers Summer movie Green Lantern. It will be available in both the US and the UK, but will only be available on the 2D blu-ray release not the 3D. The cover features Ryan Reynolds in full Green Lantern garb.



In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, where a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.


Green Lantern will be released on blu-ray and DVD on October 14, 2011!

when the casing of the movie is actually BETTER than the movie itself....than that should tell you all you need to know.

the movie sucks PERIOD.

I MIGHT....MIGHT buy it when its in the 1 dollar bin at wal mart...lol

Where's ProjectGotham so I can tell him that there are 720p versions, 1080p versions, 3D 720p versions of Green Lantern out in the world. He tried being an asshole on the other GL article, saying that there is only 1080p on blu ray... Well google Green Lantern 720p and find out for yourself.

Finally saw the movie... Definitely not as bad as some of you and the critics put it to be.

I actually thought it was pretty decent, enjoyable even. Definitely not in the same league as "Catwoman" and "Batman & Robin", IMO at least.

i can f*ckin say what i f*ckin like about any movie,i only liked the stuff on oa & that lasted about 20 minutes overall the film was shit.

shit writing/script/storyline
shit acting from most of the cast
shit editing
shit cgi

its was overall piss poor adaption of one of dc comics best characters,i wanted a great green lantern movie as i've been reading the trades since rebirth,but this wasn't you can love this movie as much you like thats your choice/opinion but don't tell me to stop bashing when nearly everyone in the whole f*ckin world thinks it shit.

@Vital - I don't think you understand how blu-rays work. When you get something on blu-ray, it's 1080. Downloading a torrent from a torrent site isn't the same thing. Those files have been ripped from the blu-ray and converted to 720, hence the BRRip and x264 in their file names.

Just because you Googled "Green Lantern 720p" and found a bunch of links for torrent files doesn't mean the blu-ray is going to be 720p. All the blu-rays are going to be 1080p.

@starfighter, I know, all I said in the other article was that I had "the 1080p version and it looked fine". That's all I said about it. He randomly attacked me, being a complete asshole about it. I'm now clarifying that the 720p versions that you can download, do not look nearly as good as a 1080p version, for obvious reasons lol. I could only imagine if I woulda said 'I got the 720 version and it looks like crap'... what a shit storm that woulda caused haha. But there are different "versions" out there, and it's not my fault he doesn't know about these ripped/downsized 1080p copies turned into 720p copies. I was using the whole google thing as a quick example of finding those "versions". I'm glad at least you get it lol.

Basically, it was a misunderstanding on his part, and he didn't need to be such a jackass about it. His ignorance is amazing. Surely, most people on the internet pirate films, so this kind of thing, should have been avoided. It's funny cause then he kept posting comments about my comment (even though I didn't go back to that article for like a week) making fun of me, saying 'I bet you are glad you passed up that 720p version'... lmao. I sure am Project, I sure am. 1080p is the way to go. Sometimes you can only find older movies in 720p. *THE MORE YOU KNOW* :)

I already saw the movie on blu ray and it's a shame what they have done with this movie...shame on you warner!!!!...shame on you....i kinda liked this movie when it came out, but come on!!...why the hell the whole movie has to look so dark!!!...it's was killing my eyes trying to enjoy the movie...so looks like the people over warner r really trying to make us feel really mad about this movie. Cuz i don't understand why evrything related with this movie went really bad, and to make things worst, now this....i'm really annoyed

Something tells me if Avengers flops like GL did (and it won't) you won't be far from posting your dislike in the comments. The standalone fact that you like GL more than Captain America and Thor (and this isn't even a Marvel vs DC thing) tells me you have no taste in movies. But seeing how that's your opinion, I won't try to change the garbage.
