Underworld + sucker punch + a HINT of resident evil characters and zombie..... I am still going to see it, but I think I am more saddened by the fact they are called resident evil movies and not solo films....this just is not RE in any way.

But, seriously, this movie looks worse than the last one. At least the CGI one was a new story and characters that we hadn't really seen on the screen before.

While I'm not sure if I want to see the series adapted as a whole (because as fun as they are, the stories are utterly ridiculous, as are some of the characters), I would like to see elements of Romero's script based off of the first game.

It's not too hard to get a proper cast.
Alexander Skarsgard = Albert Wesker


Jensen Ackles = Chris Redfield


Evan Rachel Wood = Jill Valentine


Ellen Wong = Rebecca Chambers


Chris Bauer = Barry Burton


Aaron Johnson = Brad Vickers


It's simple. STARS sends two teams out to the mountains near Raccoon City to investigate reports of cannibalism. Bravo team disappears, no radio contact. Alpha team encounters zombies. Zombie infected animals. They're pushed into an abandoned estate, trapped. They can't get out of the mansion. And they're not supposed to.

if any of you dont like any of the movies what are you still doing checking on the new movie updates grab your ps3 play resident evil games and go to hell we dont need all of your complaining. better yet grab a few millions and do your own movie you guys are never satisfied!!!

Missed the teaser, but I really don't need to see one to know that this is going to be a below par movie misrepresenting the franchise (as are the others).

I've played every single Resident Evil game, since it first released. These movies angered me, as I usually am if a movie blatantly uses a title for the already established cred it's made and then proceeds to insult everything it had created (as well as it's fan base). It took me a while to accept that these are merely popcorn movies, and if I don't put any emotional investment into them (as is more common with video games since they are a bigger commitment than movies) then I can mindlessly enjoy 2 hours of my life. Plus I have always <3'd Milla.

Netflix rental it is. :)

@Tainted87 Yes to Jensen as Chris Redfield (I bet he could pull it off wonderfully). Barry Burton deserves better than Bauer (his voice alone does not do Barry justice). Reversed, Johnson deserves better than Vickers (but I can see where you're going with that). The others are a meh.

Hmm time to think up my own RE cast.

The only reason I look forward to these movies is in hopes the next one will be the LAST. This series is an insult to the game and everyone involved should be shot. Give me a reboot already and have it follow more along with the games storyline.

I think any purchase of a cinema ticket to see this, which will only encourage them to make more, should come with a complementary kick in the balls (a stern telling off for the ladies of course;)

Ok most of those were off the top of my head, but I wouldn't change Skarsgård as Wesker for anything.
Ray Stevensen would be a better Barry though.

You know, I actually moderately enjoyed Event Horizon, back when Anderson was a mediocre director... but now I see he's just an idiot with a lot of money at his disposal. Ok I saw that fact long ago, but this just hammers it in.

Wesker is the big bad of Resident Evil, and only after a brief (and horrible) cameo in the third movie, does he come out as the trench-coat flinging red-eyed supervillain. This is probably everyone's favorite character of the series, considering he's made it into nearly all the games and was retconned into each of them. This is a character who people used to make wallpapers of using David Bowie. He single-handedly betrayed his elite team, his scientist collegues, and both STARS and Umbrella when he came out on top with the T virus... before he ever donned a trench coat and moved like Neo.

To willfully screw this character up is a slap in the face to all the fans of Resident Evil and the games themselves.

I love this series and I can't wait til September! Just 1 question. How the hell is Michelle Rodriguez's character still alive? When I heard she was in it, I was sure she was going to be a an Umbrella experiment. But, it looks like she is a normal character...

Can't wait they make these movies because they make money at the Box office what other Video Game franchise can say that had they stuck with the plot of the game who knows it what it would have been like possibly I enjoy them for what they are an action flick with zombies some of you guys are uptight. I've played all the games and loved them but I am not crying because they didn't translate it to the screen verbatim, as for CBM's when I complain about TDK and Nolan everyone says that those are perfect representations of Batman but they aren't so get over it and enjoy the movie for what it is I have to with Nolan's Batman and these aren't even on that level.

As much as I get tired of the Resident Evil movies, I gotta admit this is actually a pretty cool trailer. On another note how come all the trailers for these movies seem like they always have Milla Jovovich saying the line "My name is Alice", lol I mean there has been 4 movies already as if we didn't know who your were freaking playing.

That looks a little better than I expected, but I would have like have to seen Jill and/or Leon.

How are they going to explain Michelle Rodriguez coming back?

@Tainted87 Personally, I think Jensen Ackles would be a much better choice for Leon. He has the personality and if you imagined him with his hair grown out, he looks just like him.

I would have rather had him as Chris Redfield than Wentworth Miller though. He's good actor, but he was wrong for the role.
