This is the problem with comic book geeks, if it's not how you remember it from the comics or possibly cartoon series you hate it, in the comic con footage the lizard had a snout not a huge long one but a partial ( hehe partial) and as for his lab coat, come on, you know it'll likely show up in some scene or scenes in the film, but as this film going for an all round realistic film and not just villain realism like the raimi films tried to do. Would a lizard creature really keep the coat on without it getting torn off at some point, in terms of fighting its not exactly helpful and it's just not likely, the fight scenes between spidey and lizard will look great no matter what he's wearing and non comic fans will properly just laugh at a giant lizard in a lab coat and the purple pants, well that would properly make people think of the hulk to much.

Songs using the realism to make it separate from the cornbally classic comic off the page onto the screen the raimi films used at times. It wants to tell its own story's while having enough comic reference to make it acceptable to fans, the same way the dark knight just takes the key points then puts them into a smarter style epic story. accept hopefully this spidey films sticks to the idea of spiderman having a cocky attitude with corny jokes but with a slightly serious tone and story, will make spidey look far better as his attitude and jokes will be a lighthearted comic relief between a more focused story.

Also I frankly think this spiderman costume seems far more representative of the comic, than the raimi one, but with a modern twist to make it stand out, also this movie seems to be using the fact Peter parkers smart and designs his own equipment to help himself , the raimi films tho I like them, rarely used the fact he's smart , apart from a few references and the fact hes in college. ...Rant over.
