I really like this show.

Quite simply one of the best tv shows in history.

Best show in history? It's not even a top 5 show among current shows. The acting is miserable and the story is painfully slow. The books are fantastic, the show was awesome season one and god awful season 2.

Some people act as if they're Oscar winners...

I have read every book. I love the series, but in the books when there is no zombie threat, they have other problems within the group. Sophia wasn't lost for 6 of the books, there was actual tensity, not to mention you care if the characters live or die in the books. I hate almost everybody on the show, with the exception of Dale and Maggie. I honestly just wanted someone to be killed off every episode of last season. Plus Andrea is a raging [foo foo] on the show

I've read just about every issue of the comic, and I love it. The show continues to blow.

Love the books, love the show, and I love Krystal burgers. Um... Gotta go get me some of those delicious little bastards.

I think a lot of people are missing out on the entertainment to be had from this show. I personally enjoy the hell out of it and can almost never wait for the next episode to air. To even see this show happening is a pretty big deal; it had always been categorized as a comic that couldn't be brought to the small screen (the big screen should never really be considered).
But first and foremost, nothing, whether it be a TV show or a comic, is perfect. I love the comic for what it is: an intense, action packed and dramatic character study. I don't even have to get into the sometimes genius writing and art. On another hand, the show is a great interpretation of the dark and gritty comic we all love. They pretty much nailed most, if not all of the main characters (Some minor changes are made, most of them welcome), and I always get the same kind of vibe from the show as I do the comic. Although, they are two different kinds of media and therefore, they SHOULDN'T be exactly the same.
This is a story about a group of survivors doing whatever they can to SURVIVE and LIVE through a zombie apocalypse. Wouldn't YOU want to stay on what looks to be a relatively safe farm? Away from all the shit happening around the world? (I'd understand if some people preferred some "action" in their lives, but that's just you, friend) Sure, the second season took it’s time with the ‘search for Sophia’, but you can’t honestly say that’s ALL that took place can you?
We had the situation with Carl, Shane killed Otis, we learned Lori is pregnant, Glen and Maggie got it on, Daryl became more of a badass, Dale found Shane’s “Dark side”, all the while Rick is trying to keep them on the farm.(I just pointed out the obvious ones) And here we got people complaining that all they are doing is looking for a little girl. Very astute, guys.
I just wanted to get it out there; that this show is written by different writers all the time. Different directors direct it all the time. The quality is inevitably going to go up and down every now and then, mainly for that reason alone. I, for one, have enjoyed every episode of the series so far, even if I saw a change in some type of quality. All I see every Sunday, is a continuation of a story I very much enjoy.
So you people(some of you) need to calm the fark down, and stop labeling this show as ‘shit’. You can’t sit here and tell me this show is shit compared to most of what we see on TV. It’s a good show. ‘Nuff said.
