A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

G.I. JOE Retaliation stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and will be released on June 29, 2012.

Cobra Commander looke PIMP! Glad we have some better Joe's (and actors) and better action.

Still hoping to see Destro and maybe some Joe cameos like Shipwreck or Sgt Slaughter.

Looks decent (Action looks great) but it definitely suffers from the failure of the first one.
I dont like at all that almost everyone of the Joes dies! Leaving only Roadblock, Snake-Eyes, Lady Jaye, Flint, Jinx and Colton deal with the bad guys.

If John Chu and producers would have been smart they would have just recast most of the cast (Duke, Hawk, Ripcord, Baroness, Cobra Commander, Destro...) and bring in few other cool characters (Shipwreck, Beach Head, Rock&Roll, Gung Ho...) then continue it with this kind of style. :)

Looks a million times better than the first film. Better plot, better cast, better tone...I just hope Chu knows what he's doing with the entire film (I'm still skeptical after Never Say Never).
Oh, and Cobra Commander looks fantastic.

@AlexDeLarge87 yeah it seems like they were killed off "terminated with extreme caution" i was just hoping that Roadblock's group were the ones targeted while the remaining GI Joes were captured or discharged....but we'll see

This looks so much better than the first one. They need to stick with the Seven Nation Army song for all the trailers.

I'm a big Jay-Z fan, but that music is perfect for these trailers.

I guess that pretty much confirms Duke is killed off.

@AlexDeLarge87 I think only Duke was with them so he was the only Joe killed off. I think everyone else from the first movie is probably off somewhere else. At least I hope.
