Arnold Schwarzenegger is working towards getting his foot back in the door of acting. You will catch him soon in the upcoming sequel to Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, and he has multiple other projects lined up. Collider sat down with the Austrian born actor to talk about some of the projects where he said he would be open to doing sequels of movies like True Lies as well as another Terminator. He also didn't shy away from sharing his true feelings about McG's last installment to the franchise Terminator Salvation. "I’m open to all those things, if it’s True Lies, Terminator, a well-made Terminator…the last one was awful," said Schwarzenegger. He also went on to say that they did try hard on the film but it just missed the boat.

Would you like to see Arnold make a return to the Terminator franchise or is he too old? Leave you comments in the comment boxes below. To check out what he said about the possibility of doing sequels for Twins and True Lies click HERE

KNIGHT3000 - 4/6/2012, 10:26 AM

MovieGuy2178 - 4/6/2012, 10:26 AM
I agree!!!
imnotahero - 4/6/2012, 10:27 AM
He's definitely talking about Terminator 3. He wasn't even in Salvation apart from allowing them to use his likeness for 2 shots. Anyway, Salvation was a decent movie.
batfan175 - 4/6/2012, 10:27 AM
well...great! Arnold has finally realized what we all knew already...took him long enough though.
marvel72 - 4/6/2012, 10:28 AM
i don't think it was awful,i thought it was pretty good in places.
CaptainAmerica31 - 4/6/2012, 10:31 AM
Oh you and your maids Arnold:)
Zordan - 4/6/2012, 10:32 AM

Hellsing - 4/6/2012, 10:34 AM

TrollHunter - 4/6/2012, 10:34 AM
@ Arnold Schwarzenegger

PaulRom - 4/6/2012, 10:35 AM
I thought it was pretty good (though I haven't seen the other films). IMO, Christian Bale was the highlight.
mattattack - 4/6/2012, 10:35 AM
Salvation was MUCH better than Rise of the Machines... just saying Arnold...
Ha1frican - 4/6/2012, 10:36 AM
I liked it. Not great but a hell of a lot better than t3...
MassExecutions - 4/6/2012, 10:36 AM
Yeah...Salvation was not very good, but Arnold has been out of the game so long he'll have to prove himself with another good movie before I'd let him go back to Terminator.
AltRockFan - 4/6/2012, 10:37 AM
@imnotahero, I know you were joking, but I think he may have really been talking about 3. He had to be. Even if he didn't like Salvation, he'd have to admit ROTM was an abortion. Personally, I thought Salvation was great.
BlindLemonShemp - 4/6/2012, 10:38 AM

Schwarzenegger's cameo was the best part of Salvation

hell he could make a sequel to Kindergarten Cop and I'd go see it... welcome back to the big screen Arnold!
prettynuclear2 - 4/6/2012, 10:41 AM
Salvation sucked. All build up, no pay off. It didn't even make sense.
superbatspiderman - 4/6/2012, 10:42 AM
He's probably just mad that he was replaced by a cgi version of him who was also a better actor.

I think he is talking about Terminator 3 though because he said it like he was a part of it.
mrHJK - 4/6/2012, 10:42 AM
He's definitely talking about T3 cause Salvation was cool
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 4/6/2012, 10:42 AM
Yeah, he said He wants to also do a sequel to Twins with Devitto called Triplets so what does that tell you.

I loved Salvation, one of my Favorites.

My list goes...

1. Sarah Connor Chronicles (It is my "Firefly" for those who know what I'm referring to)

2. Terminator Salvation (Ever since the opening to T2, I wated the Judgement Day to come on to the big screen, and this movie was awesome)

3. Terminator (I love this movie, be it the bad CGI/Animatronics or the sex scene, lol Arnie truly was a badass in it)

4. Terminator 2 (Instant Classic, just not my favorite)

5. Terminator: Rise of the Machines (I liked this movie. Don't know why so many peeps hated it, the acted was bad sure, but dude, it was the road to the begining of the end!)

Re-Watch Salvation, it really is great.

nailbiter111 - 4/6/2012, 10:46 AM
i still can't believe eddie murphy is going to be in the Twins sequel as the triplet. eddie murphy hasn't been funny in decades, and yes that is plural.
GiantNerd - 4/6/2012, 10:46 AM
"I want you off the set you prick!"
BIGBMH - 4/6/2012, 10:46 AM
Terminator Salvation was a huge letdown, but I wouldn't call it awful.
GiantNerd - 4/6/2012, 10:48 AM
@nail Lol about Eddie Murphy. Couldn't agree more.
catman - 4/6/2012, 10:51 AM
Oh Arnie..what are you letting them do to Total Recall?
jazzman - 4/6/2012, 10:51 AM
why everyone call it a Cameo in Terminator Salvation when they CGI Arnold face from the old movie on another bodybuilder named Roland Kickinger.
nailbiter111 - 4/6/2012, 10:52 AM
Terminator Salvation's premise is great, the execution was terrible. Overall the film is average. I see what it could of been if they had a real director, but instead they chose the shitty guy McG. Why does that Ratner Jr. keep getting work. He has no ability to make you care about the characters, he only cares about making visually nice shots. He comes from the music video realm, and he should've stayed there.
Masterburner - 4/6/2012, 10:55 AM
You guys are retarded, he's talking about "Salvation" I read the whole article. And he's right, a PG-13 Terminator was just a bad idea.
theangrytroll - 4/6/2012, 10:55 AM
T3 wasn't great, and was a huge letdown after the first two, but it was a work of art compared to the abomination that was Salvation.
Fabius - 4/6/2012, 10:56 AM
Agreed...SalvaMESSCRAPtion movie ! mcg can go to helle, T3 was not bad. But T4 was just a Sade Terminator movie. The FX is not clearly.
SpiderFan35 - 4/6/2012, 10:56 AM
Um Arnold, robots don't age so....

Seriously they were pushing it in T3. 20 years of grab-ass and cigars take their toll lol.
nailbiter111 - 4/6/2012, 10:57 AM
T3 felt like a TV movie, it looked cheap.
Garmanbozia - 4/6/2012, 10:58 AM
The last one...oh maybe he was making reference to Terminator 3. But yeah, Salvation was very weak as well.

Hey theandrytroll, Christopher Nolan will OWN this summer!

The Fire Rises!
Tonic24k - 4/6/2012, 11:04 AM
They'd have to give him some Jeff Bridges treatment.
nailbiter111 - 4/6/2012, 11:07 AM
Sorry Jazzman that isn't what I said you need to re-read that. I think HE should be left in the music video realm where HE was more comfortable. I never said making music videos made ALL directors from that realm shit. jesus man
jazzman - 4/6/2012, 11:07 AM

sorry but saying he comes from a music video realm means thats why he is a sh!t director. sorry but your wrong about that. David Fincher, F. Gary Gray, David Slade, Antoine Fuqua, Spike Jonze and others come from a music video career and prove they can handle a studio film.

McG is just a awful director who cant handle making a good movie. thats nothing to do with him been a music video director.
nailbiter111 - 4/6/2012, 11:09 AM
now my response is in front of your comments ... awkward lol
jazzman - 4/6/2012, 11:14 AM

i posted twice and deleted one maybe thats why your comment is in front.
CherryBomb - 4/6/2012, 11:21 AM
Move over Arnold!
I wanna see more of your HOT son Patrick Schwarzenegger

TheHierophant - 4/6/2012, 11:30 AM
@NickKaseAKAthePieEATERxGETIT: Mock me if you must, but I loved "Jingle All the Way." I know it's absolutely a sh*t movie, but I can't help but to watch it every single time it's on... I would have to say it is my "Guilty Pleasure" movie...
