New Action Packed Clip From THE AVENGERS

Check out this new clip from Marvel's upcoming Superhero team up blockbuster The Avengers that features Captain America and Thor throwing down with Loki's alien army.

All the clips that have been released for Marvel's The Avengers so far have showed off the incredible dialogue that will be featured in the film. Now, thanks to Digital Spy we have our first clip of The Avengers in action. The clip feature Captain America and Thor played by Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth respectively doing battle with the alien army from the film. Check the clip out below.

The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård , Samuel L. Jackson and will be released in the US on May 4, 2012 and in the UK on April 26, 2012.

Plays a tad choppy...but I still dig Evans "little guy" attitude with Cap.

some of the shots are a little ....ODD.

just different from what you'd see in a big action flick.

but hey if he brings something new, im good.

Yeah, after a few watches, im not sure if how they released the clip or what, but its starts like they just called "ACTION"....then they start fighting.

Not a slam, but the clip is oddly cut.

HOLY FETCH! It looks like there may be a slow mo action scene right before this.

Whoever said Alan Silvestri's score isn't very good is a moron. I felt complete emotion at the beginning of that clip. I have studied music for years and I can say that THAT is a score . . . a very well thought out one.

To those who say "The scene looks choppy"... it is not uncommon for studios to release clips that has things cut from the center of it to remove potentially spoilerific shots or for a variety of other reasons... don't be surprised if come release this clip has a few variances.

Nice action, I hope they change the sfx for Thor hitting the aliens though, made a weird noise =/ not like the meaty "PANG!" in the Thor vs Frost Giants scene. I also have to say this does look really tv-esque but I'm hoping that in the grand scheme of the film that won't detract from it, the trailers had a lot of nice cinematic shots too.

I been talking about the THOR/Cap Gimili/Legolas-like throw-off before the first set pic went up for this film. Don't know if they're keeping score but that definitely had the feel. Music and slow-mo threatens to cheese the scene out at the beginning, but THOR is there to distract us with his awesomeness and hammer summoning.

So, the aliens are different sizes?

Bruised battered & beat up, shows that they can get hurt. Shows that they are not invincible.

There is more action sequences for sure

P.S. i LOVE the sound of Thors hammer smashing faces further and further away as he helps Cap off the ground. Didn't notice it the first time I watched but the second time it made me chuckle.

PURE AWESOMENESS! I Love how THOR has a bit more endurance than Cap w/ having been in more battles w/ bigger creatures & etc, but you gotta love Cap's NO QUIT attitude that makes him Cap

As for Dialogue, I'm honestly not worried about that...BUUUUUT, IN THIS SCENE SPECIFICALLY, I WOULDVE GEEKED if Thor was helping Cap up saying that "Ready for another Bout" Line, ONLY FOR CAP TO RESPOND W/ "I HAD EM ON THE ROPES" like he did in CATFA when Bucky helped him from that Bully

it looks choppy cause its not the whole scene being played out there are couple of mins or even seconds removed just so not much is spoiled
