New York Comic Con is in full swing, and while announcements haven't been coming in abundance we have gotten a few nuggets. Newsarama sat down with Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada during the Con where he talked about a number of things from splitting his time on the east and west coast, east being the comic book side of his job west being the movie side, to what we can look forward to from Marvel movies. The first thing He talked about was Guardians Of The Galaxy. With Marvel doing their version of a soft reboot, titled Marvel Now, Quesada said you can expect the GOTG comic book to go along with the movie in some ways. "There is sutff that I know is going on with the movie that we might be able to apply to the Marvel Cosmic Universe. And try and develop that Synergy. Not to copy one from the other, but to make it look like it's on the same page," He explained. He also went on to say that it is important to make sure that not only is it important to capture what the comic book fans want, but also to make sure general audiences understand what they are seeing in their movies.

When asked what his favorite part of The Avengers was, Quesada shook his head and said, "Man there is a lot. After thinking about it for a bit he finally revealed that the first one that came to mind was where Captain America told Hulk to "Smash". He also praised Joss Whedon for getting the characters and knowing what to do with them on screen.

Quesada also talked about a secret project that he is working on right now. He said the project is on the west coast(mind you that is where he said he works on all the movie stuff). "There is a project I am very much involved in, and I'll give you this hint. I have to go to the West Coast to work on it. There have been rumors about it little things have leaked here and there, but there has been no official announcement." There are a couple of Marvel movies that have been rumored but haven't been announced yet Doctor Strange and Black Panther come to mind, so there is a very strong likely hood that one of those is the project that is working on. Hope its Black Panther. And wasn't it reported that Aldis Hodge was on Marvel's radar for a role? Hmmmmm...........
StormLoganSummers - 10/13/2012, 11:00 AM
It probably isn't Black Panther.
chikeizelcav - 10/13/2012, 11:01 AM
West coast? Could he be talking West Africa for filming?! Black Panther?! Even tho Wakanda is located in Southern Africa
pswatts97 - 10/13/2012, 11:02 AM
Black Panther! Black Panther!
DCMarvelFreshman - 10/13/2012, 11:03 AM
To be honest, the only other potential movie that has had "little things leak" is Black Panther. And of course, Ant-Man.
Keldor - 10/13/2012, 11:03 AM
Black Panther ftw!
Raptor055 - 10/13/2012, 11:04 AM
For the love of god, please be Black Panther. That would be an awesome solo movie, as well as a great addition to The Avengers
jingorot - 10/13/2012, 11:05 AM
i dont really know any of other character in the marvel universe besides the ones that already have their films. so it could be anything and it'd be fresh stuff for me. dr strange, black panther, whatever.

just keep em coming.
jingorot - 10/13/2012, 11:06 AM
i didn't even know much about cap and thor before their films. and i enjoyed them
zachman2013 - 10/13/2012, 11:08 AM
Black Panther please, i think that Strange should be put into Thor, he could work as thors "War Machine" or "Falcon".
95 - 10/13/2012, 11:09 AM
Ant-Man or Black Panther, definitely.
95 - 10/13/2012, 11:10 AM
Ms. Marvel?
SmellofDuty - 10/13/2012, 11:10 AM
Hope it's Black Panther, but since Mrs.Marvel stuff came out the other day, I'm calling a solo for her staring Emily Blunt.
SmellofDuty - 10/13/2012, 11:10 AM
Ms.*
koolaidbag - 10/13/2012, 11:11 AM
well its one of two things...there either back to work on The Runaways, Black Panther, Dr. Strange, or Namor, or on the other hand they could just be working on a release date for Ant-man.
jimpinto24 - 10/13/2012, 11:14 AM
I hope it's Black Panther.
crazyish - 10/13/2012, 11:20 AM
I hope its Dr. Strange. I never really cared much for Black Panther, but i admit, seeing T'Challa's dad in a captain america flashback would be one of the coolest easter eggs yet.
DrRockso - 10/13/2012, 11:20 AM
It's Ant-Man. But Black Panther just has to happen before Avengers 2
RSDhillon - 10/13/2012, 11:21 AM
You're all wrong. It's West Coast Avengers!
comiccow6 - 10/13/2012, 11:22 AM
West coast? West Coast Avengers! That can only mean one thing... New Avengers! No one's favorite superhero team!
Alboraptor - 10/13/2012, 11:23 AM
and the Daredevil rights, are back to Marvel or not?
comiccow6 - 10/13/2012, 11:23 AM
Oh come on @RSD! I posted mine literally one second before you did. Now I feel like shameless ripoff.
inkslinger616 - 10/13/2012, 11:23 AM
@chikeizelcav...um I think he meant California.
comiccow6 - 10/13/2012, 11:23 AM
*like a

I am off my game today.
Dunejedi - 10/13/2012, 11:25 AM
Is it a movie about Quesada being replaced with someone competent? Cause I'd watch that. If not, then Black Panther or Namor, in that order.
jingorot - 10/13/2012, 11:25 AM
@Gambit89

I grew up on DC actually. so I know a lot about superman, batman, flash, green lantern, wonder woman, green arrow, black canary, hawkman, hawkgirl, captain marvel and all that.

not too familiar with marvel outside of spider-man, x-men, fantastic four, iron man, and hulk.
the1stavenger - 10/13/2012, 11:28 AM
black panther... he's a big part of the avengers anymore (and a member of the Marvel NOW new avengers), the fans want it, and there have been way more rumors, especially casting picks, about it
RSDhillon - 10/13/2012, 11:31 AM
Sorry comiccow!
Actually, I'm surprised no one said it sooner!
StarkAnthony - 10/13/2012, 11:31 AM
I'd be good with Panther or Strange, it may be Ant Man, which they said they are making but haven't given anything close to a release date
Scion - 10/13/2012, 11:32 AM
West Coast Avengers would be awesome!
GoILL - 10/13/2012, 11:33 AM
I am hoping it's Black Panther.
Jokerzreality - 10/13/2012, 11:43 AM
Ant-man isn't a secret project, is it?
rebellion - 10/13/2012, 11:53 AM
i just wanted to say:''i hate joe quesada!!!''
that's all.
MisterNiceGuy - 10/13/2012, 11:55 AM
I always read his name as Quesadilla. It never fails
SpoonWielder - 10/13/2012, 11:56 AM
You guys know that he just means he has to go to California right? He's in New York, the EAST COAST, and he's going to the WEST COAST, California, to work on a movie. It's NOT West Coast Avengers. I'd be more inclined to believe it's Black Panther. Although he could be just talking about another cartoon.
SpaceGhost - 10/13/2012, 11:56 AM
STRANGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Panther's Cool too.

No Problem with Either!!!
DrDoom - 10/13/2012, 11:56 AM
Black Panthaaaaaaa
CharlesLord - 10/13/2012, 11:56 AM
its prolly BP. Thats the only info thats really been leaked. Besides Strange poppin up in Thor 2 but why would he need to go to the West Coast for that?
JerBear - 10/13/2012, 11:59 AM
@earzmundo
Voodoo is a Black Panther villain, and are you saying Dr. Strange has more Avengers history than Black Panther? What about Ms. Marvel? She's REALLY new and people are anticipating seeing her in a movie.
