Zack Snyder Hints That His Superman Will Be A Part Of JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Not a lot is known about Warner Brothers plans for a Justice League movie, but now Zack Snyder has dropped a pretty big hint that would seem to imply that Henry Cavill will be apart of those plans.

A while ago we found out that Warner Brothers would be attempting to bring their Superhero team up move, Justice League, to the big screen in 2015. A lot of questions stemmed from that announcement, such as would Zack Snyder's new Superman movie, Man Of Steel, be a part of a universe that would bring DC's biggest heroes together. Now, while talking to the NY Post, Snyder has dropped a pretty big hint to answer that question. "I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t. But ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that," he explained. When pressed a little further about it, and whether or not WB has asked him to include Man Of Steel into a larger universe like I was told back a while ago, Snyder said, " “I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course.” To what extent this shared universe will be remains a mystery, but it is cool to know that DC is finally working towards what fans want.

Another bit of info is that Henry Cavill confirmed that he has signed a three picture deal with Warner Brothers. How this will work into sequels as well as a Justice League movie will be answered at a later date. Snyder however, is still only taking it one movie at a time. “We approach the film as a single endeavor. There are a lot of gears that have to turn in the world of commerce and the world of the mythology we create to facilitate more adventures for this character. We’ll see what happens.” It is, however, likely that if Man Of Steel is successful WB would want to give it a sequel.

For more on it taking Cavill 20-25 minutes to get in the suit, his diet and exercise while playing Superman, and Snyder feeling the pressure of expectations click over to the New York Post. For the latest on Man Of Steel, which stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, and will be released on June 14, 2013 check back here at CBM.

Yeah, it would be confusing if they had a new Superman in JL.

"I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t. But ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that."

The same way you move ahead without Bale, Palicki, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Reeve, Shipp, Reynolds, et al....
jazzman - 11/25/2012, 12:50 PM
alot of people forget even Superman Returns even hinted Batman city Gotham. right now WB should not jump the gun to make a JL movie. they need to get the characters movie in order. we cant forgive from for the half ass job of Green Lantern movie.
Tony93 - 11/25/2012, 1:00 PM
they must... they mussstt..
masterhater - 11/25/2012, 1:04 PM
Snyders superman is gonna be sick so he should be the tent pole star of the film. And green lantern is established with a big star so Ryan should be envolved. If they got Bale back, which he said he would if Nolan was envolved, they will have a huge blockbuster. Now if they start getting new actors like that lame Armie Hammer, it's gonna be a lame duck of a movie. DC obviously don't know crap about movie look at all the previous bad DC movies. It doesn't take a heinous to see they suck. Marvel is doing it right by starting with solid single character flicks with the team movie as the goal.

WARNING: Goyer is a hack.

Goyer

If this movie turns Superman into an emotional sissified pansy, we know who to send hate mail to. Everything he touches turns into a flaming ball of s#it.

Don't believe me, see for yourself [click link]:

@BigBoss66 is right! "They should have done something to start a connection with the heroes in a shared universe."
kevberg - 11/25/2012, 1:26 PM
@preston
Goyer wrote Batman Begins, TDK, and TDK rises ( with nolan bros increasingly meddling in the writing as it went on.--thus the suck fest of TDKR)

and He wrote all the Blade films...

Oh yeah ..hes such a hack......jeez get a clue.
ElShumway - 11/25/2012, 1:26 PM
Heh. :P

If there's one director I trust to do a CBM right its gotta be Zach Snyder. And it he has a magic formula for converting corny DC characters into relatable and 'cool'CBMs then more power to him. DC and WB have failed to do this for decades and decades now.
IgnurRant - 11/25/2012, 1:32 PM
Honestly I would prefer this movie have no ties to the Justice Leauge. Let the Justice Leauge be a seperate film with different actors with a different tone. Once you bring more heroes into the film it changes the dynamic of the universe.
jimpinto24 - 11/25/2012, 1:36 PM
It makes sense to have Henry Cavill as Superman in the JL. It wouldn't make sense to cast a new actor to play Superman in the JL. It would be confusing.
thewonderer - 11/25/2012, 1:40 PM
@captainjackspareribs

Marvels shared universe comes at a cost. All of their individual movies sans Iron Man are decent at best.

So captainjackspareribs, you have to ask yourself. Would you rather have decent movies leading to a good movie, or all fantastic individual films?
starkillerkch - 11/25/2012, 1:42 PM
@kevberg have you seen ghost rider 2 because Goyer wrote that film. If it was not for the nolan bros then marvel would have the best CBM but TDK and TDKR are the two best comic book films.

also goyer made blade 3 so not say get a clue.
SageMode - 11/25/2012, 1:43 PM
I really hope this movie gives us the Superman movie we deserve. I wanna see some environment-destroying, epic fight scenes. Something that hasnt been included in a Supes flick yet.
KarlAlden - 11/25/2012, 1:44 PM
DC really could turn it around cinematically if they do justice to superman and then JL, I have the highest hopes for these flicks. I would love to see some movies the quality of Watchmen and TDK, they're obviously capable of producing the movies and have been victims of poor management. It's really confusing that marvel can be so much more organized when DC got into movie game so much earlier. I dont really care if outside of the Justice League the movies are connected, I'd settle for just decent flicks. Also I hate to see so many people preemptively trolling, I already know you'll be leaving the flick with the opinion you walked in with.
TheDpool - 11/25/2012, 1:45 PM
Well at least so far Man Of Steel looks like a really good movie let alone a really good Superman movie -

Henry Cavil looks like Superman
The trailer we've seen looks great
Henry Cavil actually looks like a leader
The flying seen from the trailer was quality gold

Only bummer I have is that Nolan's Batman wont be included
Ranger14 - 11/25/2012, 1:45 PM
This is a turnaround from Snyder's comments in the past, though things can change and this can affect Snyder's position on Cavill being in JL. I am still not going to overly read into this statement.

Where's the source on Cavill signing a three film deal with WB? Up until now, all that has been reported is a solo film and who knows after that.
Luigi - 11/25/2012, 1:46 PM
If WB were smart they would just give us a World's Finest movie. The demand on message boards for JL is overwhelming but to most people, JL would be "Batman vs. Superman (plus some shitty D-listers with no or horrible movies taking their spotlight)"
FightmasterNoel - 11/25/2012, 1:47 PM
If they tie in man of steel with jl they need to have Cavill playhim.If JL is its own movie universe.Then i dont care who they get to playsupes as long as he does good job.
Tony93 - 11/25/2012, 1:48 PM
heres the link for the rest of the article, including Cavill talking too

Please WB take your time. Man of Steel already looks like it will be a masterpiece. Lets give that same treatment to Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman.
Ranger14 - 11/25/2012, 1:51 PM
"Marvels shared universe comes at a cost. All of their individual movies sans Iron Man are decent at best."

*face palm* Guess I shouldn't be surprised considering the source.
Facade - 11/25/2012, 1:51 PM
@HalloweenJack...too true ;D

If MOS turns out to be a flaming turd pile, how will Snyder's, ahem, Ultraman fit in, then?

CaptainObvious - 11/25/2012, 1:52 PM
@CaptainJackSpareribs- All comic book movies before the MCU were stand alone unless they were sequels. You might as well call every director who made a superhero movie before Iron Man a douche. Besides, when Batman Begins was released, the idea of a shared universe in film even for Marvel was a stretch. At that time, it seemed like a bold and risky move that could easily fail.
AC1 - 11/25/2012, 1:53 PM
Based on WB's Justice League plan, I hope Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder stay as far away from it as possible. Man Of Steel looks great, Justice League sounds shit.

I'd rather a great solo Superman trilogy starring Cavill, rather than a great solo adventure, a shitty team up movie, and then another solo film that is weighed down by, and has to deal with, the repercussions of the shitty team up.
LoudLon - 11/25/2012, 1:54 PM
It's not odd for Cavill to have signed a three picture deal. Since most flicks of this nature hope to create three-movie franchises, naturally they'd want the same actor to appear in all three. Chances are if he's to be involved in a JLA series, that would be an adendum to his contract.

I think it's cool that they're keeping Snyder on in an advisory capacity for future DC flicks. So what if WB's using Marvel's tactics? So long as it results in more superhero flicks, I say it's all good.

Incidentally, I don't know if there's a new code or something on CBM but it's become really effing annoying trying to post with my Opera browser, because the pages keep leaping to a 404 error once the pages have loaded up. Fix it, dammit!

Awesome!! I hope Henry is Superman in the JLA Movie!!

It doesn't make sense to have 2 Superman!!!
TheDetectiveComicRises - 11/25/2012, 2:16 PM
@@captainjackspareribs I'm sorry dude but what you said is not making sense don't blame Nolan because WB has not had their act together for years all Nolan did want be a visionary & make the best CBM trilogy to date besides all though Bruce Timm did not say his Batman the Animated Series did not exist in the same shared Universe as other DC characters he said that their show was more realistic and they tough times sometimes how they were going to place their Batman with Superman and other DC characters because even though Count Vertigo guess starred on Batman TAS back in the day the major shared DC Universe began in Superman TAS.

Not saying that is how it will go the live action sector of the DC Universe but it could go from The Dark Knight Trilogy, the current references of other DC character cities on Arrow's show, The Man of Steel & Justice League coming this looks like a very good start even if they are all not connected. Besides if you are going to say those things about Nolan's Batman you would have to say that about all of the Batman's even Conroy's because Nolan stuck with the blueprint of Batman-same character's, billionaire, no superpowers & plus Bales Batman like the comics & cartoons took but whoppins & gave but whoppins too.

Just like people make me laugh saying "Bales Batman was not a detective" pleeeeasssee! He displayed detective skill nearly all day in Batman Begins & even in TDK such as the thumbprint, interrogated Flask in Begins & Crane & also even The Joker in TDK as well as interrogated Maroni even ran down the specification of Harvey's hostage being a test subject at Arykum now I don't remember seing Keaton, West, Kilmer or Clooney doing that so don't blame this on Nolan that is WB's fault for not starting long ago but they can begin now & maybe what is what is going on so anyway I look very forward to Man of Steel next year & also Red 2 even though is it not Justice League it is good to see another live action film such as Red 2 with the DC imprint on it ;)
Jollem - 11/25/2012, 2:20 PM
this would be amazing

[insert "make it so" pic]
BruceWayneNewton - 11/25/2012, 2:20 PM
@froggy
I like your castings for the most part but Peter Mensah would make the absolute best Martian Manhunter!
TheDetectiveComicRises - 11/25/2012, 2:22 PM
@TheYoungMan Well said :)
BlackFlash - 11/25/2012, 2:25 PM
I'm not gonna say anything until I see MOS, trailers can be very misleading and i'm not taken what i've seen to mean it's going to be a great film, he could punch someone and it would go down much better then Superman Returns.

The fact that they wanna do a JL film so fast is a joke to me but hey thats my opinion.
Marqy47 - 11/25/2012, 2:28 PM
this is pretty cool
TheDetectiveComicRises - 11/25/2012, 2:36 PM
@Maxi91291 yes that is cool!
BlackFlash - 11/25/2012, 2:38 PM
@TheYoungMan - So am I gonna be called a Marvel fanboy or Marvelite for actually thinking Batman Begins was the best out of the trilogy?

Also let me just say one thing Dark and Gritty have become 2 words that I hate since TDK, if this is the way of CBMs for the future mainly so for ones that don't need it then they deserve to fail. That's just how I feel.
Marqy47 - 11/25/2012, 2:49 PM
Gotham had an awesome feel to it in BB. They kinda went in a different direction in the other movies.
