I don't think the suit looks AWFUL, but I just don't get the need for all the crazy texturing of costumes these days. Maybe it'll grow on me after seeing the movie like TASM suit did. Just hoping that it's not your typical Snyder film where it's all style, pretty images, and ZERO substance.

The image becomes something else because Cavill Superman looks like he's just been pulled straight out of a comic book panel.

The texture of his suit is suppost to resemble chain mail,as its a kryptonian battle suit I imagine,which I think is a better idea as it would explain why it doesn't rip or get burned by fire,I can't wait for this film!

This is a weird image for an official one. This is just so simple. Its obviously the scene where he talks to Lois before he gets arrested.

I like it though.

Just feel like its a little too dark. Not enuff red, yellow and blue! Plus i hope he's not "sad" im a loner superman. He should be a sheltered dork with a sick body(check!). the guy who cant help but smile nd open doors for chic n shit.

I love superman. I just hope this captures the true feeling of supes. It's going to be one of 2 extremes. Snyder delivered with watchmen and 300 so fingers crossed.

Nothing I've seen, from the pics to the trailer, gets me excited for this movie. I'll see it for sure, just have low expectations.

Now THAT'S the look of someone you can trust to save Earth from alien villains. I hope, though, that he'll have his affection moments throughout the film. I mean, I like a more serious and focused Superman instead of the Mr. Sympathy kind of guy, but he is Superman after all. He has to be the Mr. Nice Guy sometimes.

I like the tone of the costume, I like the texture. If it's something that came from another planet, it has to look unique, not something that your grandma can sew up for you with some old rags. And the darker tone helps to look more with something official, not just a cosplay.

And about the hair, I think it's ok. The "s" curl is supposed to be natural, just a lock of hair that falls on the forehead naturally as he moves, not like Superman Returns and the tons of hair gel.

I thought the grim, bleak overtones would annoy me but I think I'm really getting into the mind-frame they have for this film.
The world he's in is incredibly dangerous, damaged and cynical and he'll be an inspiration for hope without being the old-fashioned "smile'n'wave at the kids" kind of hero.

Why do they seem so intent on drowning the suit in shadow with every image? It's Superman for Zod's sake. He belongs in the light.

That picture just nailed my greatest fear for this film. I know Cavill is ripped and has certain features that make him look the part. However, my fear is that he's going to play the role too dark. Superman is not a tragic character.
I hope this film won't be as pretentious as Rises. I really want to love this film. We need a good Superman film. But I have this feeling of dread... I hope it won't be as depressing as it seems.
