Anthony Mackie is out promoting Gangster Squad, and finally someone has asked him questions about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. While not going into too much detail Mackie told MTV he has read the scrip, as well as seen what his costume will look like. He also went on to praise the Russo brothers. Check out the video below.

On If He Has Seen What Falcon Will Look Like:
"I have, it's pretty awesome. I look like a bad mother-what. It's pretty cool."

On If He Has Read The Script:
"I have read a script, and it's really good. It's fun. The Russo brothers have been really good about keeping me informed of their visions and ideas for what they want the movie to be," he added. "It seems like it's going to work on all accords, so I'm just excited about it."

On Working For Marvel:
"They're very specific about how they utilize talent from movie to movie. They have a long ranging scope on what they want the Marvel franchise to be. They're real smart about it. Nothing happens by happenstance with them."

The film is scheduled to start filming sometime in April. With Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, and Sebastian Stan returning with Chris Evan, with the edition of Anthony Mackie the film is shaping up to be pretty good. Jollem - 1/10/2013, 8:22 AM
they should have included the invaders in cap 1
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 8:26 AM
@levi, you would want eminenm to cameo???
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 8:38 AM
@levi, that's no grounds for a cameo, plus what would the guy who ruined rap music have to offer the mcu in any way
Jollem - 1/10/2013, 8:43 AM
fun fact: em asked marvel specifically for salvador to draw that comic
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 8:46 AM
Haha I have a cameo in a batman/superman numb 53, does that mean I get a cameo in a movie???
BlueHawaiiSurfer - 1/10/2013, 8:47 AM
"the guy who ruined rap music"...bitch...you almost made me laugh.
Temple - 1/10/2013, 9:05 AM
Cool, hope falcons costume is similar to the 616 version.
Shamo - 1/10/2013, 9:06 AM
CTFA was shit and the Russo bros don't instill any faith in me either. but Anthony Mackie alone will make this movie worth it for me.

btw, has sharon carter been casted yet?
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 9:10 AM
You do relize without eminem there would be no lil Wayne, eminem paved and took rap to something a 12 year old listens to.
ckal - 1/10/2013, 9:12 AM
I forgot the Russo brothers were directing this film.

Out of all the upcoming Marvel films, this one clearly worries me the most.

(I'm actually not worried about any of the others at all)
thefirstavenger97 - 1/10/2013, 9:15 AM
Ultimate falcon wouldn't be bad.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 9:15 AM
@jessepostal Lil Wayne was rapping and had a deal before Eminem came out in 1999.
gambgel - 1/10/2013, 9:16 AM
so the script is 'funny'?

mm......

Cap definetly needs something more intense and serious and less... funny

lets see what happens.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 9:18 AM
@marvel, and how much has he changed and became known since eminem? Just because you have a record deal doesn't mean your big time
LordHuck - 1/10/2013, 9:19 AM
Eminem spent his entire career screaming about what an untrustworthy bitch his ex-wife was. Then he remarries her and she takes half his shit.

I never want to hear another thing from Eminem again. How can you take a guy seriously after something like that?
LordHuck - 1/10/2013, 9:23 AM
Punisher is holding his guns like some idiot thug. Yuck.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 9:23 AM
Eminem and Lil Wayne both are talented rappers and I'm happy that both have new albums coming this year. They aren't ruining rap music, the label execs are ruining rap for signing these new kids who can't rap to save their life.

Examples:
Soulja Boy
Chief Keef
2 Chainz
Future
Pitbull
Flo Rida
Travis Porter

Now these are terrible rappers and they are destroying rap music.
Shamo - 1/10/2013, 9:26 AM
lol @ Wayne being talented.

and 2 Chainz is legit btw.
Ha1frican - 1/10/2013, 9:32 AM
Mackie bulked up for Pain and Gain, i was worried he couldnt hang with Chris Evans muscle wise but he's lookin the part. Also pain and gain looks terrible. That is all.
ClaireLannister2016 - 1/10/2013, 9:40 AM
Well I hope this film doesn't suck because I really dont trust the Russos.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 9:44 AM
@jessepostal

Lil Wayne started rapping with the Hot Boys at a very young age and he has been with Cash Money Records for years, the label he first signed to.He made three Hot Boys albums before labelmates Juvenile,B.G.,and Lil Turk left.Wayne made two successful solo albums before they left.Wayne's career was in limbo until he made The Carter and started collaborating with a lot of other artists in rap and pop,R&B,and pop music. He finally hit it big when he made Tha Carter III and won a Grammy for that album.Wayne and Em don't rap the same and they have done features on each others albums.Rap was done by black people before Em came in the game. There were lots of multi-platinum rappers before Em.Examples:

Tupac Shakur(The Greatest Rapper Ever)
Notorious B.I.G.
Ice Cube
LL Cool J
Snoop Dogg
Dr. Dre
Jay-Z
Lil Wayne
Juvenile
Nas
Tha Dogg Pound
N.W.A
2 Live Crew
Bone Thugs N Harmony

I could go on and on but [frick] it.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 9:50 AM
Enough talk about rap music but Anthony Mackie does look like he is getting big for CA:TWS.I'm ready to see him in costume as the Falcon.I was worried when Marvel first signed the Russo Bros. for this film but I know Marvel is still in charge and they have a clear vision on how they want their films made. That's what I love about Marvel.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 9:54 AM
@shamo 2 Chainz is terrible but some of his beats/production for his songs are good.2 Chainz can't rap for shit.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 9:56 AM
@marvel, that's good and all but he still didn't become a breakout star until after eminem, and tupac is not the best rapper ever, if he wouldn't have been killed he would have been bound for the floor
Happy11 - 1/10/2013, 9:57 AM
If they can't get Caps costume right how the hell will they get the Falcons.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 9:59 AM
@yoss word! page three and four, postal is spray painted on the statue of superman and batman starts giving chase and lays the law down on us :)
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:00 AM
Looking at my list of rappers above I forgot the ladies in Hip Hop who went platinum.

Queen Latifah
Lil Kim
Da Brat
MC Lyte
Missy Misdemeanor Elliot
Eve
Dedpool - 1/10/2013, 10:04 AM
Bet Falcon ends up in Avengers 2. Especially if they go with a version that's like the Ultimate Falcon, where he's military.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 10:05 AM
And avatar is the biggest money making movie ever, the masses have proven to like dumb shit
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:11 AM
@LEVITIKUTZ I'm black and I love Rap/Hip Hop music.I was born in 1979 and I remember breakdancing and the boom boxes.I remeber my dad bought us all boom boxes back in the 80s.I know a lot about music in general. But Eminem is a beast and I have all of his albums and D12's albums. And Em is great on all his collabo's too but he killed Jay-Z on his Renegade track.Plus that Renegade beat is just crazy. Also,I think the sondgs were funny he made about his wife.Eminiem is like 2Pac,he raps about everything and doesn't stay in one box.I love Eminem's song Mosh where he's talking about former President Bush.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:20 AM
@LEVITIKUTZ I forgot to put Lauryn Hill on my list. She was with the Fugees, made one of the biggest albums and just disappeared.I wished Lauryn could have done more music after The Miseducation. And I forgot to add The Beastie Boys and 3rd Bass and Vannilla Ice but I was naming black people who went platinum before Eminem debut.Cypress Hill is another group but they are latino but I think they have a black member too.Damn,Insane in the Membrane was my shit back in the day.I also forgot to put Eric B. and Rakim on my list too.Paid In Full is a classic album and I still listen to it.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:34 AM
@LEVITIKUTZ I also forgot to add Wu-Tng Clan to my list.I always thought Method Man was the best lyricist in that group.Method Man is also great on collabos. My favorite Method Man collabs are 2Pac's Got My Mind Made Up and LL Cool J's 4,3,2,1.I loved ODB too.And yeah,Kendrick Lamar is the future.I like Meek Mill too.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 10:39 AM
Lauryn hill fell off because of her comment that she would rather her children be killed than a white person buy her records. What a nice lady
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:42 AM
@Nomis Outkast is another group I forgot to add to my list.Just talking about music makes me want to run through my collection. There are a few good rappers today but music in general today is just terrible. You don't have to have talent to get signed it sems now.

Justin Bieber=TERRIBLE
Carly Rae Jepsen=Terrible
Lady Gaga=I don't know what to say about this one

I could go on.But I think music started going downhill in the mid 2000s.I barely buy CDs like I used to back in the 90s.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 10:49 AM
@LEVITIKUTZ How does the new Big Boi album sound and have you heard the new T.I. album?I hate buying CDs nowadays and being disappointed.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 10:57 AM
@yoss, I think I played with them at a music conference in florida maybe 04ish, that name sounds familiar. Rags morales is a good friend of mine so he put me in the book as a bday gift. When I get home ill throw up some pics
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:08 AM
While we're taking about music I just came back from MTV's website and they're saying that Justin Timberlake is dropping new music today.I love Timberlake's work with Timbaland.Timbaland works great with every artist he's ever worked with:Aaliyah,Missy,Magoo,Playa,Ginuwine,Jay-Z,and a host of others. After seeing a lot of other artists having albums coming out this year, this could be a good year for music.

Artists and albums I'm looking forward to this year:
Lil Wayne-I'm Not A Human Being 2
Eminem's new album
Rick Ross-Mastermind
Drake's new album
Tyga-Hotel California
Kanye West's new album
Beyonce's new album
Justin Timberlake's new album
Missy Elliot's new album

I'm sure there will be more.I also heard Maxwell might have a new album coming this year.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:12 AM
@Nomis All genres of music is in bad shape now.The Labels are destroying it by signing these no talent hacks. There is no better music like you said than the stuff you heard growing up.
Fogs - 1/10/2013, 11:24 AM
Of course it's the ultimate falcon. He'll be a new S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 11:25 AM
Its not the labels that are destroying music, its the people listing to it. People are told what to like and they like it, music isn't as important to some people as it is to others.Anyone can start a label, you can produce a masterpiece of an album with your computer alone. There are millions of bands out there doing their thing with no label support at all and going strong. I don't listen to the radio or anything the masses say is good, in my taste its never good. Majority of people like simple lyrics with a four chord structure in 4/4. Its been that way since the Beatles
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:31 AM
@Nomis Back in the 70s,80s,and 90s you could enjoy Rap,R&B,Pop,and Rock music.I love some rock/grunge/heavy metal music too.

Some of my favorite Rock groups:
Van Halen(David Lee Roth era only)
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
Metallica
AC/DC
The Rolling Stones
Guns N Roses
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:48 AM
@cipher You've got good taste my man.Love some David Bowie too.LET"S DANCE!!!!
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 11:48 AM
@nomis, 15 years ago id agree with you but today you have youtube, pandora, and a billion others all over the internet. All you have to do is open your internet browser and you can hear anything you want. Anything
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:50 AM
Damn!I forgot to add The Police to my Rock list.Another great and classic group.EVERY LITTLE THING SHE DOES IS MAGIC!
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 11:52 AM
@jessepstal I don't even listen to the radio anymore.I too go to YouTube and lisen to music.
jessepostal - 1/10/2013, 11:58 AM
@marvel, my point exactly. Everyone has the option of listening to what they want
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 12:11 PM
@Nomis I too got into music at a young age.I hate that mostly all the rappers today talk about hoes, money, and cars and doing drugs. But I loved Gangsta Rap and still do.Gangsta rappers also had social commentary too.Scarface and Ice Cube is a good example.Public Enemy was another great ap group.Nothing like the old skool.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 12:11 PM
*another great rap group.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 1/10/2013, 12:51 PM
@Nomis I remember both those songs.I think the rap artists today need to get together and make a song like SD or WAITSG because the violence and murder is bad in the U.S.A. now.Chicago's murder rate is sad and scary. And yeah,Dr. Dre started out with the World Class Wrecking Crew and they had a hit song named Before You Turn Off The Lights.Wow I feel old now. Also The Geto Boys are another example of Gangsta rap artists who talked about bad things happening in the world.Too Short did too back in the 80s.
