AMC needs to stop cheaping-out on this show. Three showrunners in four seasons is not a good track record. Meanwhile Mad Men (which scores less ratings than TWD) has the same showrunner and a bigger budget than last year.

BATZ: i agree, I thought season 3 was aces; what was the problem?

SANTO: I agree...except Mad Men is depressingly overhyped and no better having a singular show runner on that shallow mess, bu for some reason, AMC will throw all their money into it while Breaking Bad almost had to go shopping its last season to another network

Exactly what santoanderson said. AMC is an awesome network, but they seriously have to stop bending over for Mad Men. Breaking Bad is over this Summer. Mad Men is going on season 6, and I doubt it has too many years left in it. They really have to start investing more in the show that has the longest life left.

They cut The Walking Dead's budget in season 2 AND got a new showrunner, and many fans absolutely hated the result - which was way too much time spent at that farm. Sure, it picked up the pace towards the end, but I'm not sure if the fans will deal with another quality dip like that.

As long as Kirkman is involved, the show will be fine.

I actually enjoy the show more than I do the comics. The reason for this comes in one word and that word is "Daryl". I love his character and Norman Reedus is awesome.
