DC is gearing up for their new animated film after the release of Superman: Unbound, which will be titled Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, and has revealed when the film will be released and the first photo from the film. You can purchase the movie, when it will be made available to the public on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, OnDemand, and Digital Download on July 30, 2013. Check out the first photo from the film as well as the synopsis below.

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for The Flash and his family, the ripples of the event prove disastrous as a fractured, alternate reality now exists where a Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Teaming with a grittier, more violent Dark Knight and Cyborg, Flash races to restore the continuity of his original timeline while this new world is ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans. With breath taking action and an all-star voice cast, it's a bold, emotional vision that will forever change the landscape of the DC Universe.

The story will be based on the story crafted by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert that was simply titled Flashpoint. While the entire cast hasn't been revealed you can expect to see some familiar names in the movie. Such as Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman (which isn't the main Batman in the story), Ron Pearlman as Deathstroke, Dana Delany as Lois Lane, and Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman. There are some other main roles where the cast hasn't been announced yet. These roles include Flash, Cyborg, Reverse Flash, Aquaman, and Thomas Wayne/Batman(the main Batman of this story). Check back here at CBM for the latest cast announcements for the film.

I think Michael B. Jordan is voicing Cyborg.

Finally good animation. Latly the animation on the dc movies except for the dark knight returns has been disapointing.
ManCalledSting - 4/4/2013, 11:29 AM
I actually prefer Bruce Greenwood as the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman over Kevin Conroy, so I hope he's going to voice Thomas Wayne/Batman.

I hope DC go back to original ideas soon. I like some of these films but some that are 100% accurate like Batman year one are just pointless. IMO of course.
Silentman - 4/4/2013, 11:38 AM
As long as Conroy is Batman, then all is right with the world.

Ron Perelman's Slade is amazing, and everyone loves Kevin Conroy. Can't wait!
Gyasiman - 4/4/2013, 11:56 AM
Ron Perlman coming back as deathstroke made my day. Movie sounds good so far, lets hope it's as great as some of there other wons. I do wish they would divert from superman, batman, and justice league a little bit. Could have easily called this movie Flashpoint.
PaulRom - 4/4/2013, 12:02 PM
Sounds awesome. Can't wait.
And Michael B. Jordan as Cyborg is great casting. He's actually my choice to play the character in live action.
EdgyOutsider - 4/4/2013, 12:05 PM
It's been a few years since I picked up a animated movie based off of a comicbook or comicbook character. Might have to pick this one up.
Optimus83 - 4/4/2013, 12:06 PM

Blackest Night. ...When???
sephiroth211 - 4/4/2013, 12:08 PM

Can't wait to see more!!

Can't we have a DC comics animated feature WITHOUT Batman?

I'm a big Batman fan but he's waaaaay overexposed.
Time for others to shine..more solo character films please.

"Flash looks way better with white eye lenses."

Well, that's a strictly Wally West thing. And sadly, Wally is nowhere to be found anymore (with JLU and YJ reruns being the last of it for now).

With this DVD, I begin to wonder if, outside of the new digital Adventures of Superman title, this'll be the last time DC throws most of it's weight behind the classic looks and starts adapting New 52 stories (or churns out a few original scripts featuring the current comic looks)?

I'm pretty sure if they base the story pre-New 52, the art will reflect the classic designs (lest it become a bit confusing for those who choose to seek out the comic the animated film is based on), but I think they've a amassed enough post-reboot material to adapt.

Love me some flash. Design looks great already.

Looks good but then again DC usually have great animated movies.
Dedpool - 4/4/2013, 12:17 PM
Wow and only to months after unbound. Nice!!!
FOOM - 4/4/2013, 12:19 PM
Yep, DC owns the animated cartoon format. Its the perfect medium for them. Marvel's attempts are pretty desperate in comparison.

Well, Batman is in Flashpoint, so in this case, no. Also, it's a matter or sales. Bruce Timm went on record about as much (though he did muse there wouldn't be any Green Lantern after First Flight and we did see Emerald Knights).

Maybe James Tucker (who replaces Timm, as he just stepped down) will find ways to create new exposure (as no one really seized on developing new characters beyond the DC Showcase shorts, which were very very cool).

brionrector - 4/4/2013, 12:22 PM
Will Michael Rosenbaum be returning as the Flash? That would be pretty cool!
TheDetectiveComicRises - 4/4/2013, 12:22 PM
Yes! going in my DCU collection!
sephiroth211 - 4/4/2013, 12:23 PM
If Marvel would stick to this style they'd be golden.

However, they can't seem to understand we don't like that CGI and motion comic crap they been trying to feed us. So, DC will continue to stomp a mud hole in their asses
johnnymarr - 4/4/2013, 12:23 PM
Based on stories by Geoff Johns.

Mediocrity rules the modern day DCU.
TheDetectiveComicRises - 4/4/2013, 12:31 PM
Ron Pearlman has been in the DC Universe on some occasions such as Killer Croc on The Batman cartoon & Senistro on Green Lantern the Animated series welcome back Ron!

Batman being in is cool in my book I mean I am glad it is not centered around him this time but hey the guy is great & he sales ;)

I will get this, Superman Unbound before, go see Man of Steel in theaters & pick up Arrow Blu ray in September man I enjoy DC COMICS!
ScottMontgomery - 4/4/2013, 12:32 PM
I loved the Flashpoint graphic novel hopefully this will be a good adaptation of it, but am I the only one who doesn't like how Flash's face looks?
Show4God1 - 4/4/2013, 12:38 PM
There are one movie that i can say i have HATED that DC put out animation wise, Superman:Doomsday. Superman vs the elite i wasnt crazy about, but it was still okay. Otherwise, ive loved everything DC has put out. Cant wait for this one.
