As most remember, Michael Rooker threw his name in to play Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of The Galaxy. Now it looks as if James Gunn was listening, but he wont be providing the voice to Rocket Racoon. According to Deadline Rooker will join the film, but as Yondu, a game hunter of a primitive tribe native to Centauri IV.

Yondu is a part of Zatoan tribe who's home, Centauri IV, was the firs planet to be colonized other that Earth. Yondu teams up with the Guardians of The Galaxy as one of it's founding members. Whether or not he will be a founding member in the film is still up in the air. He also uses a five foot bow as his weapon.

Rooker joins Chris Pratt and Dave Batista on the movie. Pratt, who was the first major cast member announced, will be playing Peter Quill/Star Lord, while Batista will be playing Draxx The Destroyer. Zoe Saldana has also been rumored to be attached to the film as Gamora. For the latest on the film as it happens, make sure to check back here at CBM.
