Recently revealed via Looper's Tumblr page (with the "Gold" variant of the poster released by The Huffington Post), check out the "Silver" and "Gold" variants - the significance behind the color difference is said to have a relation to the movie's plot - of Martin Ansin's Mondo poster for Rian Johnson's Looper right below...

The limited edition prints of the poster will be available for fans to buy starting September 21 at the Fantastic Fest event.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" – a hired gun, like Joe – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good...until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe’s future self for assassination. Under the direction of Rian Johnson, and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels, the movie is set to be released on September 28, 2012.

I thought this movie would suck when I first started seeing it come together... It just seemed tacky. But then I realized the guy who directed Brick is doing it -- one of my favorite films. I have high hopes for this. Awesome posters too.

I think JGL's face are not meant to look like himself, he is intended to look like young Bruce Willis.

Too badass!

Hollywood should be taking notes.

It just look like JGL wearing some weird lip prosthetics. It just looks and feels odd. He looks almost like a weird monkey man and it doesn't make him look anymore like Bruce Willis with them on anyway.

I am interested in the movie though. We'll see how it pans out.

@Scabs AGREED!

and Ansin is one of the best poster designers working today, certainly in my top 10

@yoss

Movie has a 100 percent on rotten tomatoes right now. EVERYONE is calling it the next terminator or matrix (one)

Rian Johnson is no pushover. He's just as talented if not more than big name directors today.

Bruce Willis called it the best script hes ever read, and thats saying something

This one was not on my radar at all until recently, but I'm hearing good buzz on it. Preview looked intriguing, and I love BW and JGL. Mondo poster, as always, looks great.

Can't wait to see this, but anyone else disappointed with JGL's transformation in this. He looks nothing like Willis.
Hellsboy - 9/14/2012, 3:18 PM
