Seven New Stills From George Miller's MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Starring Tom Hardy

Following the reveal of the cover earlier today, Entertainment Weekly have now unleashed seven new stills from the movie giving us a great look at Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) as the titular character, as well as the ones played by Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult.

Mad Max: Fury Road

It was thirty five years ago that George Miller's Max Mad left a massive impact on the action movie genre as a then 23 year old Mel Gibson took on a leading role in the desolate setting. Mad Max: Fury Road will see the director head back to that world with a new story and cast, and in a brief interview with Entertainment Weekly, Miller said: "I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes. In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed." What do you guys think about these new stills?

Heh, funny thing Tom Hardy is actually starting to look like a much younger Mel Gibson in these photos. I'll be putting this on my watchlist.

I love The Road Warrior (the first Mad Max and Beyond Thunderdome, not so much) but I think Hardy's going to own it.

RetroFit - 6/25/2014, 2:26 PM
I'm hoping this isn't just an empty cash grab and that Miller actually has a story here worth telling. Because Mad Max 2 is one of my favourite movies of all time.
SpiderFraud - 6/25/2014, 2:28 PM
Looks like they are going in the right direction from the stills.....just give me a damn trailer already, though.

RedNTheHood - 6/25/2014, 3:25 PM
Maybe after this people will finally realize that Tom Hardy needs to be Wolverine!!!!
ComicsBornAndBred - 6/25/2014, 3:27 PM
Looks crazy fun. Gritty, wild, explosive and all out cool. Nicholas Hoult goes blue and furry with Beast an now haggard, pierced, pale, bony and tattooed with his character here.
cwb77 - 6/25/2014, 3:31 PM
When does this come out? The stills look crazy. My best to all. Go Blue.
joeschmow013 - 6/25/2014, 3:32 PM
Mad Max:Fury Road is receiving a lot of positive buzz from early screenings...I gather from these photos which are just too cool we have something special coming our way in May 2015.
zephyrrr - 6/25/2014, 3:45 PM
I'm sure the film will be good, but from the photos and the quote about the plot, it sounds like the exact same damn story all over again.

Post-apocalyptic wasteland. Max is helping some refugee children and protecting an oil tanker transport from a gang of thugs chasing them the whole movie.

Meh.
marvel72 - 6/25/2014, 4:10 PM
just release the f*ckin trailer.
Meady - 6/25/2014, 4:35 PM
Original interceptor with super charger PLEASE! !!! That is all..
FearTheLiving - 6/25/2014, 5:22 PM
I really hope this is awesome been too long without Mad Max.
JorL5150 - 6/25/2014, 5:30 PM
is this part of the original series?

damn shame they didnt get mel gibson to do one last one.
MBZ1993 - 6/25/2014, 5:44 PM
since these got released i guess the trailer will be out by the end of the week or next week.

P.S Tom Hardy is the [frick]ing man and i still have intercourse will Charlize Theron with a buzzed head
KingEmperor - 6/25/2014, 6:23 PM
These look great. Can't wait to see it. I hope the violence isn't tamed on this one like they did with Beyond Thunderdome.
DaVinci31 - 6/25/2014, 6:41 PM
Why are they still using cars from the 70s/80s?
goatman - 6/25/2014, 7:34 PM
I hadn't been following news on this, but I thought it was a remake of the original. Now I'm not sure if it's a remake of Road Warrior or a sequel to Thunderdome. Road Warrior is arguably the definitive version of Mad Max that everyone recognizes and it is by most standards a superior film, but I rather prefer first film for the way it honored it's car chase and revenge plot roots.
