Wait, is Kingpin saying that he created the symbiote or that he just created the technology to control it? They should not mess with symbiote origins as alien entity.

@Odin I think he created the technology to control machines and implanted it in the symbiote.

How many spiderman stories are we gona keep having these days?. I liked Superior spiderman as its the best thing that happened to the spidey franchise. it was a breadth of fresh air from the real parker. the symbiote stories are old and tiresome. why cant marvel cook up something entirely new for a change, like maybe felicia hardy getting attached to the symbiote and fighting ALONGSIDE spiderman, not against him. smh

And they ended Superior Spider-Man for what exactly?

NerdyMcNerd - 7/5/2014, 11:22 AM
@mancalledsting - Nope, its as if this stories are written and published in 2061, so yeah in universe the ages do not change much.....think about it, comic books are not realtime, its like a floating timeline, think back to the 90's, the characters are pretty much the same age sine then, despite that being 25 years ago real time.....peter parker should be middle aged, if that's the case.....no its a floating timeline, in universe, its probably like 5 years from now from the characters perspective since say, superior spiderman happened until this whole theckno-symbiote business ect.....make sense?

@mfdoom, superior spiderman was ended because TASM was gona b released in may. it wouldn't make sense to release a new movie about spiderman and no comic about spiderman. d suits @ marvel dint want fan backlash…

Superior Spider-Man ended because there was no more Superior Spider-Man when Octavius gave Peter back his body.

There is no possible way this makes sense as a "100th Anniversary Special." It's not 2061. And if they go to 2061 in the Marvel universe, that will only be 33 years later in "Marvel time" -- so WTF? I don't get the rationale behind calling this a 100th anniversary...

Timely Comics was founded in 1939 - so we're not even to the 100th Anniversary of that yet!

@Superior @cristobalite83 duuuuuuuuuuuuuh

Only reason I even mentioned the title is because it was the last quality Spider-Man run we've had the pleasure of reading. The new Amazing Spider-Man series is just a bore, and the gimmicky side-issues for the series are not much better. Now we're given an elseworlds/future tale that probably won't have much going for it other than a few panels of nifty artwork. I thought that SSM was going to be a spring-board for Spidey, not a sign of regression once it climaxed.

What are you people new?!? These characters were created in the 60s, of course its not real-time.

And Superior along with a majority of Slott's work is complete shit. I wouldn't even wipe my ass with that garbage of a book.
